TQC, please debate.

Friend A asked if I had plans for lunch and I said yes. I told her I was going with Friend B to pay rent because we live in the same building and then grab something to eat.

Friend A says "Can I join?"

I've told her before that this is her inviting herself. She says inviting herself would be to just show up.

Her asking to join would be the equivalent of me asking her to join, which is inviting her... so her asking to join is her inviting herself.

Does this make any sense, and what do you think?

She always gets her panties in a bunch when I tell her no. Lol. Don't be an idiot and try to invite yourself to something that you weren't invited to in the first place.

tl;dr dk/dc: It bugs me when my friend asks if she can join in on plans I've already made without her. If I wanted her there, I would have already invited her. Do you have friends that do this? How do you handle it?
