Generally, do you think it's unprofessional to have self-harm scars showing while dealing with clients? In particular, what if they can't be covered without both causing personal discomfort and making you look a little strange (wearing long sleeves in very hot weather)?

Quick edit to clarify: I don't feel obligated to cover them, as I've made peace with them and don't mind people seeing them. One arm is already covered with a tattoo, and the other will be in the next few months. However, I do represent my company, and while they would never tell me to cover them (and would tell any client who did where to go) I take pride in that representation and so I was considering how this might affect it. So it's more, how do you think people in general would view it? Rather than how they should.
