I just moved in with some new roommates two weeks ago, and for the second time in two weeks, I clogged their toilet.
Well...I think I've clogged their toilet. I did the trick where you pour dish soap followed by hot water into the toilet, and it drained. But whenever I flush, the water level gets DANGEROUSLY high, and THEN starts to drain.
Why is it doing that? It drains so fast that I don't really have enough time to plunge, and if I add more water by just using a bucket, that drains, too. But when I flush, it keeps looking like it's going to overflow! Is it clogged or not?!
My roommates are out of town for the weekend, and they only have a crappy sink plunger to take care of clogs.
I don't have a car and the nearest hardware store is closed on Sundays. The public transit here sucks balls so it would probably take me three hours round trip to take a bus to the next nearest hardware store.
The last time this happened, one of my roommates ended up unclogging it, but I don't know how he did it.
Soooo...how pissed off would you be if you came home to an extremely apologetic roommate who said she clogged your toilet and can't figure out how to fix it and that she tried all these tricks and she would have gone out and bought a better plunger but she doesn't have a car and she's really, really, really sorry?
