I'm in a Writing Children's Lit class, and we read a NY Times article the other day about a trend in parents trying to ween children off picture books far earlier. One B&N manager says he sees parents with children as young as 4 or 5 leading them away from the picture book section and saying it's time for 'big kid' books.
Agree/disagree? Is there a specific age you'd urge your kid toward chapter books, or would you let them do their own thing?
How often do you wash your sheets/comforter? I'm pretty sure I'm a gross person in this regard.
