I've posted a little while back about what to plant after I moved into a new apartment with a balcony.

These are some plants I'm thinking about planting. The ones with question marks I'm not sure about. Maybe you can sway me to plant or not.

Herbs:
Parsley
Chamomile
Sage
Basil
Dill
Mint
Thyme?
Chives?
Oregano?
Rosemary?
Lavender?

Veggies:
Cherry tomatoes (suggest a type?)
Carrots (littlefinger?)
Lettuce
Cucumbers
Spinach
Maybe others? Not sure yet

Flowers:
Snapdragons
Morning Glory
Forget me Not
Viola
Coreopsis

Anyway, my questions are - which ones would you recommend and which ones would you recommend against, and why?

I would like to grow all my herbs in one big box - what should the size of the box me (in depth, in width, and in length)? How much soil should I put in it? And would the herbs grow allright together? How much space should I put between eachh herb? Also, if I just take a platic container and poke hole in the bottom, would that be okay? Do I need to put anything in it besides the soil in the box?

How big of containers/pots do you think the vegetables and flowers need? Are there veggies/flowers I can grow in the same pot (and which I shouldn't)? If so how big would I need it?

Or, if anyone has any sites that detail growing instructions on growing any of the previous plants, that would be greatly helpful too.

As a reminder, I live in San Antonio, TX.
