Please help me understand this

How does one know their own husband cheated on them, got another woman pregnant and right after the news... want a child with him again? Then to top it off. The mistress has a daughter and now the woman expects that her unborn child HAS to be a girl too. She wont settle for anything else. Help me understand this?
