This weekend I went up to Northern Arizona to visit a few friends about two hours away. We had an awesome weekend, until yesterday. A friend of mine (let's call her J) had asked earlier in the day if she could catch a ride back to Phoenix, and I told her sure, no problem. About 5:30 in the evening, my other friend (we'll call her M) texted J and asked if she wanted to go to dinner. We didn't hear from her, so we just figured she was busy.

When all was said and done, we finished dinner and running a few errands around 8 pm, but we still hadn't heard from J. We didn't just want to leave town because it's about a 2 hour drive, give or take, to Phoenix, and we didn't want J to be stranded. Both M and myself tried calling J multiple times (we both left voicemails), along with texting her, all to no avail.

We called another one of J's friends to see if she had heard anything from her. She hadn't, but gave us the number to J's roommate. M called the roommate, who told us J had spontaneously gotten on a train to Santa Fe. J never told us she didn't need a ride, and when she finally did contact us around 9:30 pm, she said she hoped we hadn't been waiting for her (which I don't know why she would think we wouldn't be when she asked us for a ride).

So the question is: do M and I have a good reason to be really pissed with J? Or are we just blowing it out of proportion?
