A long time ago Webster Online sent me a word of the day (I love it, what can I say?) that was the name for when people only give off part of an expression. For example:
When in Rome...
Even a broken clock...
Speak of the devil...
Leaving off the end of the quote because, well, everyone knows it and such. Anyway, there's a word for when people do this and it's driving me crazy trying to remember it!
Do you know it?
