In 1959, a group of cross country skiers were on a trip through a mountain in Russia. They didn't return when they were expected. Searchers found the remains of their camp. The tent had been cut open from the inside, and all of the skiers belongings remained. They fled from their tent, some wearing only underwear, others dressed warmly. Some were weaaring parts of the others clothes. The clothes contained high levels of radiation.
Bodies were found in a ravine nearby, having suffered traumatic deaths. One with a crushed skull, others with multiple broken ribs. Another was found missing her tounge. There were no external wounds on any of the bodies.
After the funerals, relatives said the victims had a strange orange tan and were completely grey haired.
