My mom loves playing Yoville on Facebook. I'm completely clueless when it comes to computers so...is The Sims similar to that? Is there a game that she can play on her computer that would be along those lines? (Build a house/have a life/decorate stuff?) Also, if it is...which Sims do I get?

Should I get her a DS to occupy her while she tries to quit smoking?
Anywhere to get a cheap one?
