I've posted before about my law office work drama.
Long story short, in Illinois attorneys aren't allowed to split fees with non-attorneys. Well..for the last 3 years my boss has been doing just that. Its called Life Care Planning. He hired a social worker to help elder clients with care issues (nursing home, hospitals, doctor appointments, etc.). Other firms in the US do this, but they have the LCP stuff as a separate company within the firm, which is legal.
Anywho...fucker finally got caught. Case blew up and now he's in trouble. Only when he talked to the attorney investigating him, he tossed his associate (who is his employee. She isn't a partner, she had nothing to do with this. His name is on all the LCP contracts, not hers) under the bus.
Needless to say, she's pissed and she's getting out. I spent the day helping her gather what she needs to prove that she isn't at fault, and she dictated notes on every case so we know what's left to be done.
Now...here's my question...I'm not supposed to work tomorrow. Should I go in and watch the fireworks or stay at home?
Pet owners, what is the best flea treatment for your cat(s) and/or dog(s)?
What about heartworm preventatives?
