Do you wait until you "officially" have your period before you start using tampons, or do you try to catch it early by using tampons a day or so early?
Today I'm getting the feeling it might start soon (and it should), and I'm getting some light discharge as I do before I get my period. I'm crawling around and cleaning the apartment today so I just decided to insert a regular absorbency tampon so I don't have to worry about checking my panty liner every 5 seconds to see if I started or not. I always get about 20 false alarms before I actually get my period, and it's kind of tedious, but I know everyone says not to use a tampon if you're not on your actual period.
Think it's not a big deal, or am I dead within the hour?
eta: I decided to try and tough it out, no use doing something possibly dangerous just to avoid some annoyance.
