Have you ever been to the American Museum of Natural History? The Metropolitan Museum of Art? The Museum of Modern Art? Intrepid Sea-Air-Space Museum? Which two would you pick?
We were thinking the Museum of Natural History and the Intrepid.I just found out the MoMA has free admissions on Fridays, so we may do that if free admission is still there in May.
Have you ever done the On-Location Tours: New York Movies and TV (where you ride on the bus and see famous NY filming spots)?
These are things we definitely want to see: Brooklyn Bridge, Chinatown, Washington Square Park, the "Friends" apartment building, Times Square, Rockefellar Center and the Top of the Rock observation deck and Central Park.
These are things we'll most likely end up doing: Staten Island Ferry (to see the Statue of Liberty), the Charging Bull near Wall Street, the Empire State Building (although not going up to the observation deck), New York Public Library, Toys R Us in Times Square, FAO Schwarz, Intrepid Sea-Air-Space Museum, On Location Tours and the American Museum of Natural History.
Possible things to do/see: Radio City Music Hall, Macy's, Tiffany's Bloomingdale's, The Dakota, Grand Central Station, Zabar's (for a bagel like in the Baby-sitter's Club), The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Carnegie Hall and Madison Square Garden.
A lot of this stuff we just want to see for the sake of seeing it. How would you go about splitting it up over five days? Does this sound like enough to fill five days?
If it helps, our hotel is in the Murray Hill area.
