Dear Mr. Michaels:

I would first like to thank you for creating Saturday Night Live.
I think it is probably the most valuable institution for comedians and comedic performers today.
I hate to think where we would be without Dan Aykroyd, Mike Myers, John Candy, Martin Short, Phil Hartman and the many other comedic performers SNL has had over the years.

Their wildly inventive minds has given us some of the most memorable characters to date and that level of creativity could not be achieved anywhere else.

However, as of late, that dedication has wavered considerably.
The past few seasons have been more or less completely uninspired.
The show now mainly consists of celebrity spin and low brow and just unfunny humor.
I am not alone in this belief as attested to the thousands of people I have talked to as of late.
They too share the same beliefs, but their loyalty is not as strong as my own and have lost all hope for the show to return to its past glory.

I think you may need to create a new way of finding writers.
personally, I would like to see someone like Christian Finnegan* as a writer/performer.
He is an incredibly inventive and humorous comic that I think be a benefit to the show.
I also believe Seth Myers' brother Josh would be an absolutely wonderful addition to the show.
his versatility and abilities are immeasurable and harkens back to the glory days of SNL.

I hope you can take these words to heart and restore the show to its former glory.
