I can't get my jar of Kosher Dill Pickle Spears open. I've heard that running jars under hot water can help open them, but that's a bit of an impossibility for me (I'm assuming luke-warm wouldn't do the job). I've tried using a cloth, and banging the lid of the jar. Would microwaving the jar for 5 seconds or so be a bad idea?
