tl;dr club, in the immortal words of Eddie Vedder: this is not for you

my friend and her boyfriend have been together for about 4 years.
right now she's in India. she left 2 weeks ago this Friday and is getting back.. soon. idk. the 26th or something.

now, ok, back story: her boyfriend is one of those guys that HAS to know EVERYTHING about their girlfriend. i don't mean in an abusive, stalking way. he wants to know her friends and what her life was like before he came around and all her old hangs and pals and shit. so we've been friends pretty much since they started dating.

what's going on now isn't really a big deal. but she's gone and he misses her and so he keeps calling me to talk and stuff. just about like movies and music and stuff. and to go on about how he misses his girlfriend. which i really couldn't care less about or even begin to sympathize with since i'm bitter and lonely and have never had a real relationship with someone special and just honestly couldn't give a crap about you and your happy, unique, undying, no one has ever felt this way about anyone love.

he's even said, albeit sarcastically, that he needs someone to fill in for their nighttime phone conversations until she's back.

while i feel overall this is pretty much harmless, there's a part of me that is saying it's without a doubt at least a tad inappropriate. IS IT?
