If they ask me I got fired.
The department manager, lets call him "A", told me that I didn't have to do the breakout. I usually did it, though, if I didn't have anything else to do.
Well, one day, I was really busy because one of the girls called off and I had to do her job as well as my own. I did not get the breakout done.
The next day, the assistant manager, lets call him "G", asked me why I didn't get it done.
Me: A told me it wasn't my responsibility anymore.
G: A, is this true?
A: No. (covering his ass)
Needless to say, G took A's side and I was fired on the spot.
how would I explain what happened without making it sound like I'm bashing management?
