If you could cut a family  member out of your life who would it be & why?

What kind of books do you really like (ie concerning plot, style, first person...)? Examples?

Does it bother you if a friend/s/o likes a book or movie that you really hated?

My sister because every time I'm around her I want to throttle her. She's extremely selfish & rude, has anger management problems...but I can't cut her out bc we live in the same house, family gatherings would be awkward etc.

I thought of this question because I'm reading Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides. It's first person narration, really long (I love long novels), spans many generations of a family and because it covers about 100 years there is a lot of historical background. It reminds me of Kavlier and Clay (Micheal Chabon). I like stories within stories, so that it feels like it's a whole universe, that several books could be written out of it.

YES! My ex boyfriend loved some really lame movies and it just turned me off.
