It has happened.

We are now blogging on a Russian owned platform.

Now what? Do we slink off quietly and kill LiveJournal for good? Do we welcome our new Russian overlords?

I certainly don't give a hoot about what Putin or his goons have in store for little old me if I piss them off. Their scare tactics show a weakness of character, not strength.

The movie was better

Everyone says the book is always better, but are there any movies that you enjoyed more than their book counterpart?

I just finished reading the novella "The Brave Little Toaster" by Thomas M. Disch, and I actually like the movie much, much more!  This isn't just nostalgia talking, since I read the books "The Last Unicorn" and "The Neverending Story" as an adult and thought they far outclassed their movie adaptations. (though I still love the movies!) :-)

I'm also not ashamed to admit that I prefered Steven Spielberg's "Jurassic Park" to Michael Crichton's "Jurassic Park."

I can think of several others, but how about you?
