star trek

Any classic Trek fans out there?

I started re-watching TOS now that it's on Canadian Netflix and am enjoying it immensely. Yesterday I watched both parts of The Menagerie. I don't think it's a problem to spoil a 50 year old TV show, but spoilers ahead!

There is a plot hole in the episode that I'm trying to wrap my head around. At the end of the episode, it's revealed that Commodore Mendez is an illusion. At what point does he exactly become an illusion? The team had to physically go to Starbase 11 to pick up Captain Pike, so the planet and Commodore Mendez are not an illusion during that scene...right? The shuttle can't be an illusion because Captain Kirk had to get back onboard the Enterprise. Is it weird that the Talosians could project an illusion that far into space? I know I'm possibly overthinking it, but it's bugging me!

I got pretty sick recently and my doctor* suggested I sleep on my back for a while to try to deal with one of the lingering issues from it. The problem is, I'm not a back sleeper and I'm having trouble getting a good night's sleep. (I'm usually a side sleeper.)

Any suggestions to help me adjust? Since it's a temporary situation, I'd rather not buy anything.

*In case anyone was wondering, she says my knee is fine now.
