Japan!

Hello, TQC. I'll be spending my Christmas vacation in Japan. I'll be staying in Tokyo and Gunma for two weeks. Any recommendations of things to see and do there?

My hands are always cold. During the winter I wear thick mitten outside and even mittens inside. So.....

Excuse me, have we met before?

So I've gone through phases of online chatting (like going in to chatrooms) to talk to strangers and make online friends, pretty much ever since we got the internet when I was growing up. At the very minimum of probably 9 years ago, there was one guy I befriended. We would use webcams and chat. Nothing pervy. We talked pretty frequently for a bit, and then he just started getting really odd and he just made me uncomfortable when we would talk. So I stopped talking to him. I deleted him off my messenger and that was that. Done. Honestly, forgot about the guy all together.

Years later, on that same messenger, I saw someone randomly added me. I recognized the name and couldn't quite place it. I began racking my brain and then it hit me it was that guy. I remembered cause he has one of the most common names spelled in a ridiculous way, and also a pretty unusual last name. I never re-added him. But just left it there in "friend request purgatory". Again.... forgot all about it.

Recently, I've been in chat rooms making friends again. Not too long ago I discovered this one particular chat room I've been going in. Maybe a year ago. So last night I was in the room and this guy started talking to me. I was enjoying our convo so we turned our webcams on so we could see the face we were talking to. When his cam opened. I thought to myself, "He kinda looks familiar, but I have NO CLUE why.". Didn't really make anything of it. Was really enjoying our conversation, so we added each other on skype to be able to talk more. When the name popped up when he added me I thought, "Why does that name sound so familiar?" I kept racking my brain, but again not mentioning it. And then It just popped into my head. So I went over to my email and looked at the chat part in it.... and there it is in the friend request purgatory. THE SAME NAME!

What the heck? It's the same dude! We haven't spoken in probably a decade. I have no idea if he even remembers me. What would you do if you were in this situation? Would you mention it and see if they remember you? Would you tell yourself that this person just made you uncomfortable years ago and cut off contact again? Been there, done that kind of thing. Or would you start fresh, and just see where it goes?

I'm just so curious how others would handle this situation. I don't know what I wanna do. lol
