urchin!

(no subject)

I have come to the realization that in my adult life thus far, I have not proactively planned out my own vacation. I lived in Israel for a while, but part of that was originally a two-month arrangement set up with the help of my parents when I was 20 years old, and I ended up finding a boyfriend there and shacking up for a while. I don't count that.

I want to do a tour group sort of thing, probably for next Summer. I like to do touristy things but still also do some non-touristy parts of town. I read good things about Contiki.

Has anyone done a tour group like that? Is it worth it? Are these sorts of things better for certain parts of the world and not others? Thoughts?
