At work, I was getting something out of the fridge, and I went to close the fridge door. Except another person placed their hand on the door, preventing me from closing it. She also wanted to get something out of the fridge. No talking, just her hand clamped on the door while I was closing it.

Do you think this was rude?

I would have let the person close the door, walk away, and then open it myself and retrieve my items.

ETA: Our location was in a hallway, where the fridge and sink are located. I didn't realize she was waiting to get something as well. Also I have never seen this person before.

Let's say you're having an argument with someone that escalated to a very, very bad degree. Let's say you asked that person multiple times to get out of your house/apartment/car, and they refuse to leave.

Now, I'm not condoning violence. But at that point, if they refuse to leave, can you strike them?

So I've always been a relatively shy person. Growing up I had mild social anxiety but I didn't let it stop me from doing the things I wanted to do. Around the age of 22, I went through something pretty traumatic and my anxiety worsened. It has now been almost 10 years and I still struggle with it constantly. I briefly saw a counselor to help me manage it and was suggested exposure therapy. However, I've noticed that things that once made me feel comfortable and didn't cause me anxiety, are now triggering it. For example, I've always loved roller coasters my entire life and have never felt fearful toward them, until the last few months. It's gotten so bad that when I go to amusement parks, I will end up avoiding the rides altogether. Another thing is flying. From the age of 12 to 18, I flew from FL to NY to see my dad every summer. I LOVED flying. Now? I can't even go to an airport without triggering a mild panic attack.

My boyfriend and I are planning to get married soon and I would really love to go to another country for our honeymoon but I'm having a hard time working up the courage.

So my question is.... If you have anxiety, how do you handle it? Do you have any tips? What worked for you?
