So I've been thinking about moving around the Seattle, Washington area or outside of Washington, D.C.
As of this moment, I am living in southern California. I don't know what to expect. I have been doing a little bit of research on websites like "city-data", reading up on studentdoctornetwork, and reading articles but...
TQC, do you have experience living/visiting these places? What can you tell me about them? I'm talking about weather, cost of living, how difficult is it to find a place to live, FOOD OPTIONS (one of those really important things), how active of a city, frequency of crime -- don't exaggerate please, etc. If I visit these places, what do you suggest I see or experience to get a feel for the area.
Everyone has roots somewhere and I do understand opinions will vary based on experience.
I've never really lived outside of California, but I know when I'm done with my studies for undergrad, I'll want to try living somewhere else for awhile. Also, I've lived in the Bay Area and near Davis, CA too. So I've had some experience with colder climates -- not exactly snow or anything... does it snow in Seattle? What is there to do in Washington, D.C.?
I know nothing.
What is your favorite salad?
1) Are you serious???
2) I just read some of my old posts. I can't believe I produced such arrogant drivel. I didn't have a career yet, responsibilities, or anything. basically, I didn't have a pot to pee in yet, but I thought I knew everything. I think I was on drugs when I was writing some of these, too. Have you ever looked back at your old Livejournal posts, and cringed hard?
I was talking with a friend today and read a paper that said "RIP, friend." I pronounced it R.I.P, saying each letter
