Calling all sewers and crafters!

I've been hand sewing since I was a kid and I'm interested in speeding up the process. I don't sew much at all, but I do lots of felt crafts and felt boards (children's librarian). I want to be able to do things like this, which are things I could do by hand, but I don't want to do by hand.

I do small bits of sewing at home too (fixing ripped hems and making pillows covers), so I'm looking for something that is small and will travel well between home and work. My apartment is also quite small and I have nowhere to store a big machine.

I'd like to spend under $100. From what I've read online, it seems like it might be difficult to get a good machine for that budget. However, this machine seems well reviewed and like it would be a good fit for someone who will use it maybe a handful of times a month for small projects.

Can anyone offer any insight on either this machine or give any recommendations for one that might work just as well (or better)?

accounting skills, financial reporting

How would be the best way to get accounting skills good enough to put on a resume? Should I just take a continuing education college course in basic accounting or would that be a waste of $300? (Level 1 and Level 2 will cost me $600 all together)

I've tried volunteering but from interviews I've been to, I've surmised that they generally want some experience as well.

If it helps to know - I am a receptionist for a non-profit organization, I do very light MS Excel work but have no experience with accounting programs. Someone told me I should put on my resume that I have accounting skills because of this and the fact that I handle my own banking but I am in my early 30s and that just doesn't sound right - though it may be good enough for someone in their teens or early 20s... (yes, I look pretty young to most!)

hurr.

My hair used to be very straight. I'm now in my early 30s and my hair is gradually getting curlier. It's very strange. Have you ever had any natural, dramatic changes to your hair?
