The Question Club
I'm thinking about a career change. I have a background in international relations, speak Spanish fluently and am learning Korean, and am almost finished with my MA in linguistics. I want to be able to work remotely as my own boss eventually, and the dream is to be able to travel and work at the same time. |
I'm considering getting a certificate/AA degree in either web design or graphic design, because I also am a photographer and have taken quite a few art classes throughout college, and I can apply linguistics to thinks like brand consultation. The two programs I'm look at are:
Sessions University here (web design), or The Chicago Portfolio School here, for digital design. Sessions is online based, The Chicago Portfolio school requires class attendance.
TQC, do you have any insight at all into this plan? Opinions about either of these universities, or other schools that I'm overlooking? The Chicago Portfolio school is non-degree granting, but seems to have a good rep for portfolio construction, which I care about more. I already have a shit ton of accredited education, but that doesn't matter to me as much if I'm thinking about art.
