You may get wet

I haven't been to an amusement park in years, save for roadside carnivals every spring, but with the fact that most people have their phones glued to their hands nowadays, I was wondering:

What do you do with your phone if you're at a theme park and plan to board a flume ride or some attraction that advertises that you may get wet?

I ask because I usually see people on their phones while waiting for rides to start or even while waiting to disembark from them. I can't imagine everyone going to Disneyworld just leaving their phones at their hotel rooms while they go to the parks.
