Yesterday I found a large tin of popcorn for $0.75. It seems a waste to just throw away the tin once I'm done with the popcorn, though.
So, tqc, what can I do with the tin? (Other than store stuff in it.)
Its a little over 9" tall and a little under 9" across. I'm not particularly attached to the artwork, but I can live with it.
Have you ever had a hostile work environment but couldn't leave for various reasons?
My boyfriend currently works in a warehouse doing electronics recycling. Just about everyone he works with likes to tell racist and sexist jokes, or make racist and sexist remarks all the time, and he finds it deplorable and disgusting. Unfortunately he doesn't think he'll get far complaining about it to management there because they're of the same mindset.
He is kind of stuck in this job until he can find something else, and the job market around here isn't great right now.
Say for the holidays, you get $100 from a relative. You are on a pretty tight budget for things, but you are doing ok (paying things on time or early, paying more than the minimum on credit cards). You don't typically have a lot of extra funds to buy nice things for yourself, but you also have some credit card debt that you are paying off.
Do you use the $100 to buy something nice for yourself that you wouldn't purchase otherwise, given your finances? Or do you use it as a payment to your credit card/another bill you may have?
