fun with surnames

We are having a baby soon. Should I put my maiden name as one of his middle names?

We are not married so I have a different surname. The baby is getting my boyfriend's surname because I think it's simpler than a hyphenated surname. (both our surnames require us to spell them for people all the time, so I am all about making life simpler in regard to names)

However my boyfriend is a different ethnicity than I am, and if I were to travel alone with our son, I don't want people to think I abducted him. I figure if my crazy last name is one of his middle names on his passport, then no one can deny that we have a family connection.

I don't have any plans to change my name if we were to get married.

Any thoughts?

ETA: It seems that to travel, I would need a letter from Dad, indicating that we are travelling with his knowledge and permission, and it would help to have a long-form birth certificate, which would include my full name. So including my surname is probably not necessary anyhow.

I know I sound like an idiot, but I really need some help here.

So here's my issue.
My boyfriend's been incredibly overwhelmed recently, so he's going on a bit of an isolation mode. I have an anxiety disorder (specifically GAD), so handling this isn't exactly a walk in the park for me.
To make this short and sweet, I have no idea how to handle all of this without panicking and completely flipping out. This has happened thrice so far, and I've gone back each time and apologized for my actions, calling them silly or stupid (because they really are). He just responded this morning asking me what the point of giving space was if I was going to go back and ask him if he still needed space and to stop calling myself stupid and silly.
I need to figure out a way to not go running to him and start panicking. I don't want to end up with a panic attack either.
I have no fucking clue what to do, please help.

I'm (finally) ditching my non-stick pans and taking the plunge and getting something stainless steel. What do you use and are you happy with them? I'm looking to get a basic set, something that'll last a bit but won't cost an arm and a leg.

Do you wash bagged/boxed veggies that have already been washed?

So, I got a bunch of postcards for Christmas. With all the postcards I have now, I think I have enough to send one postcard a day for the next year. So, that's what I'm going to do!

Would you like a postcard?

If you'd like one, message me your address!
