TQC, my best friend in the whole world is moving to Portland, OR right around Halloween and asked me to go with him. I've been planning to move there anyway, but originally my plan was "save up $10k, find a job there, and then go". If I leave with him (which I would LOVE to do, as I'd rather be with him than pretty much anywhere else, AND I have a lot of anxiety about moving alone) I will only have ~$6k saved. Now, a lot of the costs of finding a place to live would be halved since I'll have a roommate; we plan to couchsurf or sublease to save money until we get jobs/proof of income and can find permanent housing; and I have a whole month to apply for jobs before I get there in the hopes of having some interviews lined up upon arrival. BUT I have NO IDEA if this is a realistic mission!

Am I gonna totally fail out and have to live in a cardboard box until I can scrounge up enough for a bus ticket back to my dad's couch?
Can you tell me stories about when you moved to a new place?

Candy Conspiracy???

Why can't I find a Toblerone anywhere? Is it a conspiracy to cause a worldwide Toblerone craving which Halloween candy just won't cure (but I keep buying Halloween candy anyway just incase)? And then when all the Christmas candy comes out, Toblerone's will fly off the shelf because I haven't been able to find one for 2 months?

Ladies, how do you feel about having sex while you're on your period? Do you like it? Why or why not?

Gentlemen, how do you feel about it? Does it gross you out or is there something about it that you like compared to regular intercourse?

Let's say you are applying for a job with the local DHR and your mom has a good friend who works there as a social worker, and the friend has talked you up to her supervisor.   Her supervisor says that even though you don't have the job yet and haven't even taken the test to qualify for the job you can come volunteer a few hours to get a feel of the job (it's clerical) but you can't do any filing or anything but you could answer phones and such.  Would you do it?  Would you think this has any meaning as far as likelihood of you getting the job?

I tried Googling this, but had no luck. Is there any website that rates or reviews charities that take car donations? Alternately can anyone recommend a charity in NJ that picks up cars in any condition?
