The Question Club
My gaming laptop is dying, and dying fast. It is overheating almost daily, especially when I do something graphically intensive, like playing video games. I am planning on financing a new computer through either Best Buy or Futureshop (sister company to BB, if I remember correctly). I have it narrowed down to two laptops, both the same price at both stores. |
There is this one, which has a Geforce GTX 750 video card, and is $869.99.
Then there is this one, which has a GeForce GTX 760 video card, and is $1129.99.
The two desktops are virtually identical except for the video cards and the power supplies (the first has a 350w, the second has 500w). Both have an Intel i5-4460 processor, the same amount of ram, hard drive space, and same case.
Is the 760 that much better of a video card to justify the $250 price difference? My thought is to get the cheaper one, and then if the video card isn't cutting it in a couple years, to upgrade to a newer video card/power supply then.
DN/DC: what video games do you play, and what should I be checking out when I get the new pc up and running?
