After years of no sport (except the occasional very slow swim) I have done day one of the couch 2 5k programme. And discovered that my trainers are really uncomfortable. So what should I look for in a new running shoe? Can I buy them online or will I have to go into a shop?
Also I don't know what to do with my phone while I run ( /mostly walk) - should I get trousers with pockets? Or one of those things to attach it to my arm? Or just keep holding in my hand? Maybe something else?
Final question: to those who record what they eat (with something like myfitnesspal or whatever), how do you put in food other people have cooked? Or when you eat out? Buffets? Brought to you by me failing to continue for more than two weeks....
So my husband and I are house hunting for a 3-bedroom house. (I have a 2 year old son and a ten week old daughter). We have a really tight budget for how much we can spend. A ton of great houses in our price range have 3 bedrooms, but only one bathroom. :P
My husband doesn't think its a big deal, but with two young kids I can't imagine only having one bathroom. And as they get older I imagine that my daughter might want more privacy from her brother and vice versa. I also have nightmare of both kids having the flu and only one place to puke, lol.
Am I being silly about this? Does anyone here have two kids and only one bathroom? Would one bathroom be a deal breaker for you?
(P.S. We don't have a lot of money or experience to do any renovations or somehow add a bathroom, btw, as I know some have done that.)
For people who do not work a normal 9-5 job, what do you do for a living?
Supposing you won a minor amount in a lottery, like $100,000. How much would you keep, and how much would you give away? To whom would you give away some, and how much?
I understand. White socks + sandals = horrorshow.
So what color socks can I wear with my sandals?
I mean, should I match them to my shorts?
What if I'm wearing white shorts?
Or does this meant that if I want to wear socks, I'm not allowed to wear sandals with them at all?
Job search question!
Is it okay to send an application in PDF format? I prefer to since I know that the cover letter/resume will look the same on both ends.
