1. When is the last time that life gave you lemons and you made some lemonade? Share the story.
2. Are you more of a cup half empty or cup half full person? Why do you think that is?
3. Say one nice thing about a member of this community that you haven't said to the person before. Let's make this a cup half full kind of prompt.
I just moved into my dorm room at the beginning of the month! I have a single room, but share a common space with two other person. Our bedrooms share a wall. My roommate is constantly smoking weed, cigarettes and doing something else. I really have no idea. My drug knowledge is limited beyond weed. Anyways, even though she does it in her bedroom with the door shut, or common area REEKS and I can't even stand to be out there, and the smell drifts through the vent into my bedroom. All of my shit smells and one of my friends even pointed out today that my sweater smelt heavily of smoke. I told her that it kind of bothers me that she smokes in her room because it comes into my room and it doesn't help my asthma so maybe could she do it somewhere else, but she just keeps doing it anyways.
Who should I go to about this? I can't talk to our floor RA because she smokes pot with this girl so she wouldn't be of any help at all. Should I be going directly to the head person in charge of Residence or an RA from another floor? Advice please!!!
dk/dc: roommate horror stories plz.
How cold is it where you are?
I'm in the market for a new foundation. I have fairly good skin, except on my chin which breaks out quite a lot then gets very dry. I'm also freckly. I'd spend about $30 on the right thing.

Ask me something only a sober person would know.
I know this is probably a question more for HR and might vary depending on the company, but me asking this would raise a ton of red flags, so curious to see what you all think. :)
I am hitting my 4 year work anniversary Feb 1, which means my vacation renews at that time. (2 weeks worth) Normally when someone leaves the company, any vacation time that they have that has not been used they get paid out on.
There is a strong likelihood that I am going to get this job offer soon for another position elsewhere. I am of course going to put in my 2 week notice, but within the 2 weeks is when my work anniversary hits.
Based on your experience if you have any to share, would the company still have to pay it out to me if I work through and past Feb 1 even though I already gave notice I am leaving?
So I've already asked my friends this, and I'm stuck in a tie. I have three different classes I can take this semester at school: Biblical and Classical Influences in Literature, Advanced Creative Writing, or Experimental Writing.
Which class would you take?
*In one of the comments I attached the course descriptions available to me.
Have you ever gotten a kindle (or electronic version) of a school textbook before? If so, how do you think it compares to a real textbook? Are there times when it is a worse or better choice?
What about books for entertainment? Do your preferences differ there?
