In what ways is your life falling in place (what's just working out great for you)?

What's the last thing that made you feel so happy you could burst?

Will you tell me about your fur babies?

We've adopted our first rescue dog last night since getting our own house and we are so in love! My life finally feels perfect. I feel like I've been waiting for this moment my whole life.

2. Are you more of a cup half empty or cup half full person? Why do you think that is?

3. Say one nice thing about a member of this community that you haven't said to the person before. Let's make this a cup half full kind of prompt.

I just moved into my dorm room at the beginning of the month! I have a single room, but share a common space with two other person. Our bedrooms share a wall. My roommate is constantly smoking weed, cigarettes and doing something else. I really have no idea. My drug knowledge is limited beyond weed. Anyways, even though she does it in her bedroom with the door shut, or common area REEKS and I can't even stand to be out there, and the smell drifts through the vent into my bedroom. All of my shit smells and one of my friends even pointed out today that my sweater smelt heavily of smoke. I told her that it kind of bothers me that she smokes in her room because it comes into my room and it doesn't help my asthma so maybe could she do it somewhere else, but she just keeps doing it anyways.

Who should I go to about this? I can't talk to our floor RA because she smokes pot with this girl so she wouldn't be of any help at all. Should I be going directly to the head person in charge of Residence or an RA from another floor? Advice please!!!

I'm in the market for a new foundation. I have fairly good skin, except on my chin which breaks out quite a lot then gets very dry. I'm also freckly. I'd spend about $30 on the right thing.
Any recommendations?

I know this is probably a question more for HR and might vary depending on the company, but me asking this would raise a ton of red flags, so curious to see what you all think. :)

I am hitting my 4 year work anniversary Feb 1, which means my vacation renews at that time. (2 weeks worth) Normally when someone leaves the company, any vacation time that they have that has not been used they get paid out on.

There is a strong likelihood that I am going to get this job offer soon for another position elsewhere. I am of course going to put in my 2 week notice, but within the 2 weeks is when my work anniversary hits.

Based on your experience if you have any to share, would the company still have to pay it out to me if I work through and past Feb 1 even though I already gave notice I am leaving?

Any quilters out there?

On top of my bucket list sits "learn to quilt". I am finally ready to take this on, but I'm starting from scratch. I have operated a sewing machine a (very few) occasions before (a long time ago), and actually managed to finish a very basic skirt and pair of pants, but I always had trouble with the tension arm and the thread getting tangled and I lost interest before I could get a handle on it because my career was taking off and kept me busy and creatively fulfilled.

ANYWAY... if all I'm going to be doing is machine piecing my quilt top, is a simple, basic sewing machine for beginners going to be enough to learn on and decide if I want to continue the hobby and get down and dirty with it? I'm talking about something like this pretty darn inexpensive Brother.

Any other tips? I'm going to be taking a beginner's quilting class, not trying to learn on my own, but I'd like to at least get a machine before I sign up.

So I've already asked my friends this, and I'm stuck in a tie. I have three different classes I can take this semester at school: Biblical and Classical Influences in Literature, Advanced Creative Writing, or Experimental Writing.

Which class would you take?

*In one of the comments I attached the course descriptions available to me.

Paperless Books

Have you ever gotten a kindle (or electronic version) of a school textbook before? If so, how do you think it compares to a real textbook? Are there times when it is a worse or better choice?

What about books for entertainment? Do your preferences differ there?
