So TQC, what are you doing to make this New Years special?
Trying to figure it out myself. Christmas was a bust with the power being out so we ended up not doing anything Christmas Eve and Christmas Day we just had my family over for finger food (no shopping was done with no power to cook).
This is our last New Years baby free and my Husband's on call for work for the night so we are stuck at home. I'd like to do something to make it a nice special evening though I can't drink.
Currently I can only think of ordering dinner which doesn't seem all that special, and watching movies which is what we've been doing for days now with me on bedrest.
Edit to add: We are big board gaming people...any recommendations on fun 2 player games?
i like really long, boring, subtitled films about love where nothing much happens but by the end you are weeping like a baby. like blue is the warmest color and amour. based on that, do you guys have any other movie suggestions that you think i would like?
What's the last thing you fixed?
When I moved into this room the bathroom just outside had a funky flushing toilet. I felt confident one day and fixed it and felt great. Now I kind of want to tackle the sink (there is no hot water) so I'm googling how sink plumbing works.
How old were you when you saw your first dead person? What were the circumstances?
I was really little, like 3 or 4. It was someone I didn't know. I was staying with family friends and they went to a funeral home in the afternoon before the visitation to have a look at the departed, so I looked too. I understood what dead was, but since it wasn't someone I knew, I just felt vaguely creeped out.
What area codes have you lived in?
818, 760 and 405.

I got a wok for Christmas. Besides stir fry, what is your favorite thing to make in a wok?
How do you stop yourself from thinking about negative things or reliving negative memories?
