I'm not a very good cook.

I cooked a pot roast in the crock pot this afternoon.  I usually slow cook it for 8+ hours on low, but today I had to cook it on high for 4 hours.  The roast was very tough.  I transferred it to a pot on the stove and let it simmer with the veggies for 2 hours, but not much change.  We ended up ordering pizza.  The roast is now in the fridge, and I don't want to waste it.

Is there any way to tenderize the roast?  Or is it as good as garbage?

Validation? Maybe.

Need Suggestions For Behavioral/Process Addictions Movies Please

For one of my classes I need to watch a movie about a behavioral/process addiction (i.e. compulsive shopping, sex, gambling, internet gaming, etc.) but my mind and my Google skills are failing to think of a good movie on this topic. All my Googling leads to movies like Trainspotting, which wouldn't qualify, because it's an A/D abuse movie, not a process addiction one.

TQC: Could you please recommend your favorite movies which center around a process addiction (as described above)? The movie can include use/abuse of drugs/alcohol, but the central theme has to be a process addiction. I have to write a long paper analyzing the movie, so I'm hoping to find an entertaining one to watch at least.

Thanks!

I could really use some suggestions on how to become a more positive thinker and not be such a Debbie Downer all the time. Do any of you fine TQC'rs have any ideas that could help me?

Diet meal plans

Is there any website that offers a diet meal plan for like an entire week or month? Just something that is healthy and easy to follow (and free). Or if you have any meal plans can you post them pleeeeease? Thank you

This is going to be kind of hard to answer, I think. But I'm going to try to ask anyways.

We've been sort of trying to conceive for about a year now, not super seriously, but when we can. So far, nothing has happened. I thought about going to a doctor, but my insurance only covers diagnosis of underlying cause, and no treatment. I'm already being treated for my type 2 diabetes, and my Hashimoto's thyroidism. Things are doing ok in those departments.

I tried tracking the ovulation, etc. But now, I want to chill. I don't want to stop trying, exactly, but I want to stop stressing over it. I don't want to think about my temps, my cervix, anything, etc, and just things happen as they happen.

However, I do have anxiety disorder, and not thinking about things is... really hard for me. I know that stressing over this, however, can definitely make getting pregnant harder.

So, if you tend to overthink or obsess over something when you clearly need to let it simmer, what do you do? How do you chill out and let it go?

I just upgraded my phone. My blackberry included facebook, the weather and maps. Which is what I used. How much data should I get? UI have 250 mbs but I feel that is too low. I have wifi for home. I will want data when I gym, work ( I got an hour lunch) and just random. I am thinking a gig?

For Hanuka this year I'm making boxes of homemade treats for both of my sisters and their respective husbands. Hanuka is early this year (during Thanksgiving) so I'm trying to figure out what I'll make. Any ideas on relatively cheap and easy recipes? cookies, brownies, super easy candies-that sort of thing, I was already thinking about either peanut butter or sugar cookies with Hershey kisses in them.
