Does anyone else get chills from really cheesy or sentimental things? Sometimes I'm thinking "Wow, this movie/song/book is really stupid" and am totally aware that it's emotionally manipulative, trying way, way too hard to tug at my heartstrings, but I'm STILL racked with chills, and tears are coming to my eyes. It happens a lot with pop country, especially songs that kind of build up to references to God or Heaven -- George Strait's "Love Without End, Amen" or Brad Paisley's "Waiting on a Woman," for example. Which is super confusing, because I'm an atheist and thus probably shouldn't have such a strong, spontaneous emotional reaction to that sort of thing.
Inspired by the post a few down... Will you tell me some online dating horror (or hilarious) stories?
I was talking to this guy for a bit online and we decided to meet. His photos were of a tall, Caucasian, male. He was a short, Indian, man. I was really taken aback, but was still polite and what not. He never mentioned the difference. It was SO STRANGE. I really didn't know what to do. Oh well.
I was pretty annoyed that he had lied especially because he had sent a LOT of pictures of this other person. It was quite creepy. He called me shallow via text quite a few times after.. but whatever. It's pretty funny now that I look back.
I have really bad hay fever allergies that occur every summer. My symptoms are a stuffy and runny nose, itchy and watery eyes, and frequent sneezing.
I normally take Mucinex, but it’s not so great because it only lasts four hours, the boxes don’t contain that many caplets, it’s pretty expensive, and it’s pretty annoying to take several times during the day.
What else can I do? Is there a better medication? Is there anything I can do around my household to make my allergies less prevalent?
I’m trying to clean up and clear the dust, but I can’t do it for long because the dust bombards my senses and I have to take a break because I can’t clean when I’m sneezing every five seconds. So, it’s kind of a lose-lose situation.
Do those hypoallergenic pillows and stuff really work?
My friends fiance lost his job this week and she is trying to find places she can cut back on their wedding. One of those cutbacks is having me be the DJ. What are some good songs to play during the ceremony and reception?
Also, I know we have the procession, the money dance, couple's first dance, father daughter, mother son, and bouquet/garter toss. What other special songs are there to include?
I've just moved to London. The water here sucks. I'm used to lovely 'very soft' water and this is hard as fuck. My hair looks completely crap all of the time. Aside from a water filter (which I will get if nothing else works) and putting vinegar in my hair (which I can't do), what would TQC suggest? I've tried an organic clarifying shampoo, but it doesn't really work?
I bleached my hair on July 5. It seems to be having some sort of a delayed reaction, because in the past couple of days my normally soft hair is suddenly super dry and almost brittle no matter what I do -- leave-in conditioner (which I normally do on a daily or so basis), deep conditioning treatments or hot oil treatments (latter two are what I've really tried so far, Aussie 3 minute miracle and that V05 hot oil stuff). What do I do?
