Is this homophobic?

Namely the conversation which takes place in the "There's an ACTION ON X organising meeting on this FRIDAY 3rd May at 6pm in Outhouse, Capel Street. If you want to get involved in organising for the MARCH on 18th May, please come along!" thread (sorry I don't know how to link to individual posts)

Edit: The person who is claiming homophobia is a pro-lifer arguing on a pro-choice page

Valley of Love

I just learned about the ancient site, the Valley of Love in Ireland, and specifically, the Memorial of Joy. Here's a link

The statue is fake. Photoshopped. Though every link you'll ever find has the image of the giant woman on the exercise ball. There's talk about the actual Memorial of Joy, how it's an ancient structure that you can go inside. However, I can't find one image of the Memorial of Joy that isn't just the image of the woman above, or even decent pictures of the Valley of Love. It's an ancient site older than the Pyramids and no one's bothered to take photographs?

Can any of you find anything for me?

Inspired by the Landon question below:

What were the most popular kids' names when you were in school? Have these names stayed popular as new kids are born, or has the popularity waned? What do you think are the most common/overused names going around right now?

There were like 20 Bens and 20 Emilys in my graduating class, and then in college all the girls were named Amanda.

Inspired by the return of IGPX on Toonami (obv)

Do you think something like the Immortal Grand Prix could exist? Do you think it ever would?

I personally love the show, and since it first aired, I've wondered if a sport similar to this (maybe not "exactly" like it though) could actually exist.

Basically IGPX is futuristic Nascar combined with Roller Derby...on steroids. I won't go into super detail about the rules, (if you want, there's a wikipedia page that goes into it) but two teams of 3 mech pilots -- a forward, mid-fielder, and defender -- compete on a 60 mile track for 3 laps at around 350 mph. The objective is to make it to the finish line first and accumulate more points than the opposing team, but attacking the opposing team to disable or slow them down is expected and perfectly legal.

Keeping Secrets

Hey guys. I'm 'new' here. Years ago I used to frequent this site, but lots has changed in my life since and I'm back!

No one is completely an open book and everyone keeps secrets to some extent. To what extent to you keep secrets? Are they fairly small or fairly large? Would people knowing affect others or just yourself?

Car Question

I have a dilemma regarding my 2005 Honda Civic...It's been a great car until it hit 100K miles...The last 18 months, I've had to put $4,000 into repairing all sorts of things (not maintenance): bushings cracked, radiator problems, leak, engine mounts needed repairing, and on and on. Then today, right when it's getting hot, the AC went out. No air comes out of the main vents, just by your feet.

I don't know what I should do. I looked up the Kelly Blue Book value of the car and it says it's $8000. Should I just dump this car before more miles go on it and I have to dump more money into it? Or hold on to it for as long as I can? (I'll be going to law school part time in the Fall, but keeping my full time job).

I was looking at a 2011 Lexus IS250, but not sure if I want a car payment at this point in my life.
