I've been losing interest in everything I do and I can't find it in me to keep going. I've been having this issue since the start of high school. I made a trip to my psychiatrist about 4 months ago to help me assess my problem. He prescribed me some Adderall to help "keep me going" with my studies; my grades boosted a couple of points. I began to lose interest in my school work two months into the prescription and pushed it aside to indulge in sensate activities like drinking and smoking cannabis. I've been told all my life that I have more than enough potential to succeed, but my laziness and unwillingness to work keeps me from doing so. The more I try to fight these drawbacks, the quicker I succumb to them. I'm lost, TQC. How can I put myself back on track? Has anyone else been on the same track as I have?
Does your jaw crack when you try to eat in the morning?
The left side of my jaw has been really sore lately and it cracks when I try to eat anything other than small mouthfuls - it cracks when I try to eat sandwiches for example. When I try to move it slowly from left to side I can feel the pain increase on the left side. It feels stiff.
Is this normal? I'm mostly trying to gage how common this is before I go to my doctor/before she suspects I am a hypochondriac..
If you were on a crowded bus and at a bus stop you see a man stumbling and then fall and hit his head on the ground, would you get off the bus and help him to ensure his safety? or would you just stay on the bus and do nothing?
If you had $1000.00 extra money, what would you do with it?
Do you ask your SO questions regularly? If you do what is their nature? What they did that day? What they want to do later? What their favourite things are? Deep thought provoking questions? I am so chatty I often wonder if I'm driving my bf nuts...
Suppose you're in a serious relationship with the possibility of marriage & long term goals together. Someone randomly asks you, "how do you know that you're truly in love with this person?"... how would you answer this question?
A friend commented on Facebook that he was bored and needed a hobby. I know he's into outdoor stuff, but if he's bored, maybe he wanted a change? So I suggested he learn to play the ukulele. It's not hard and doesn't have to be much of an inve$tment. He didn't think they were cool enough, so I told him they were cool enough for George Harrison to give them to ALL his friends. Then I posted a youtube link to the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain playing "Theme From Shaft", which has to rank high on the cool scale.
He came back with a dismissive comment about Tiny Tim.
And then I started to say the phrase NOBODY has ever said, let alone risk breaking the internet with.
ETA: Would it be lame to give home-made applesauce as a gift, like in a mason jar with a ribbon or something? (not like, for a birthday or anything, but just as a gesture)
TQC, what are your sleeping arrangements like? Do you sleep alone, with another person, with 12 other people? In a twin, queen, california king? Do you prefer to sleep with a sheet, blanket, nothing? Do you leave the TV on, fall asleep reading a book? Do you tend to sleep with clothes on?
Feel free to share any other sleeping details you wish.
(note: all of my LJ text is in russian so if any of this is screwed up I probably can't fix it, sorry TQC)
ETA: BONUS QUESTION -- What's the deal with people needing to sleep with something covering them? I hear it so often, I wonder why that's so prevalent. Thoughts?
