Is there anything that you are more afraid of now then you were ever afraid of at a previous point in your life?

Myself, for example, I am nearly 27 and have been with my SO for nearly 6 years. I am more afraid NOW of getting pregnant (even though we are being responsible and using birth control) then I ever was say, 3-4 years ago.

I can't really put my finger on why but the thought scares the crap out of me! What are your thoughts, TQC?

DK/DC/you're crazy: is there anything that you looking forward to in the next 7 days?

You've come into some extra money and have decided, for whatever reason, to hire some sort of household help (nanny, housecleaning, cook, gardner etc). You decide to run a background check to be safe. Which of these things, if they showed up, would be a dealbreaker to hiring an otherwise very well qualified person?

How much should you tip your hairdresser when getting a complimentary bang trim?

I have a coworker who doesn't care one bit about her job (she has said it herself) and doesn't do what she is supposed to do, therefore affecting the rest of the office. I have already spoken to her about it but she shrugs it off. The management either doesn't notice or is just deciding not to do anything about it. What would you do in this situation?
lemon.

I just finished playing the new Tomb Raider and I liked the puzzle aspect of the hidden tombs. Are there any other games that are more puzzle and less shooter? I don't mind some combat though as long as there's a lock-on feature cause I suck at aiming. Maybe the older TR games (recs on the good ones would be great) or the uncharted series? IDK just help me find something cause TR was too short and now I'm itching for another game. I have a ps2 and ps3 btw.

I've already played portal 2 and loved it.

In your opinion, what is a reasonable amount of time to pack up a 2 bedroom apartment, move everything to the new place, and get the old place cleaned?

Things to consider - you're gone from 730 am to 5 pm Monday, Wednesday - Friday for work. Tuesdays your gone 730 am to 10 pm for work and school. The only help you have is for the furniture.

I'm in the middle of moving out of my old apartment. I got my keys last Wednesday, I couldn't start moving stuff until Thursday. I didn't know exactly when Id be moving, so I couldn't really pack up my place in advance.

My old next door neighbor is hounding me because I'm not done yet. (Her mom lives in the building next to my old one and will be taking over my old place.)

I have to empty two closets and clean a bedroom, living room, and kitchen and then I'm done.

When I got my keys I told my landlord I probably wouldn't be done until this coming Saturday, so just over a week to pack, move, and clean. Is that a reasonable amount of time? He told me he didn't care how long it took.

How many times have you moved? I've moved so many times, Ive lost count. This is the first time I've moved out of my hometown. I went from a town with 12,000 people to a town with only 1200 people.

Hair Stuff

Generally, do you find that expensive haircuts are proportionally better than cheap haircuts?  I'm particularly curious what people with relatively simple hairstyles think.

How much do you usually pay for hairstyling and what services do you get done?
she blinded me with science!

Inspired by this question:

If I went to a really fancy salon, would it be reasonable to expect the stylist not to ask me a bunch of stupid questions if I told them they're the artist and I'm giving them free reign to do whatever they think would work best for my hair texture, the shape of my head, my hairline, etc.?

Cheap stylists apparently aren't used to being told this. I feel like they're always asking me to tell them how to do their job, and then I give them dumb suggestions because I don't know anything about cutting hair. Honestly, I don't even care what my hair looks like, beyond the vague idea that people who do care what my hair looks like should think it looks good.

Adventures in Catland

So my cat was being a dick and knocked over this stack of boxes I had. One of them managed to fall just right and now he seems to be trapped in the box.

Should I go let him out or let him suffer?

What's the "dumbest" thing your pet has ever done?
