Do you think a break can ever be a good thing? When do you think it's not?
What about in cases of extended long-distance?
Do you have a healthy relationship with food?
What colloquialisms are prevalent where you live?
I'm from San Francisco and hella was (is?) all the rage.
Today my mom discovered that her gas pipes are basically disintegrated and she needs to replace them. Which may or may not require her to tear up her entire concrete driveway. The gas company turned off her gas, she found out that her homeowner's insurance won't cover the replacement, she can't find any contractors that will work with her on a payment plan, she can't get any credit, and she's almost literally penniless with no hot water or the ability to cook and no way to repair her pipes. She very unexpectedly lost her only source of income earlier this month when the man she got paid to care for died suddenly.
I'm at a total loss and we can't figure out how she could possibly get out of this mess. She's going to try to get a loan tomorrow but she will almost certainly be denied. Can you think of anything we haven't thought of yet? (We considered burning the house down and collecting the insurance for that, but I think she's saving that as a last resort.)
i have one serving of a casserole i made on friday in the fridge. it has cream of mushroom soup in it. would you eat it or toss it?
