The Question Club
Let's say you had to relocate for a new job. You have two choices. Job A would have you doing more work for less pay than you currently (or last) made...basically enough to live on where you are going to be, but not much left over and definitely a pay drop for you. The location of the job is amazing however...great weather, great sights, delicious food, tons of cool places to visit...think Hawaii, or if you are not into the whole tropical paradise theme, whatever the equivalent would be for you.|
Job B would be a significant pay upgrade from what you currently (or last) made - like, up to twice as much pay for the same amount/type of work. Enough to comfortably live on and have plenty left over to save. However, the location would be pretty terrible...like, really bad weather (freezing, humid, whatever would be worse for you) and/or in the middle of nowhere, not much to do, lack of comforts/conveniences that are important to you, possibly a bunch of restrictions on what you can do/wear, perhaps bad air quality/tons of pollution...not all of these necessarily, but a bunch together, basically somewhere you def will not enjoy living at all.
The actually responsibilities of the two jobs are identical, exact same workload. You will be taking new job on for about 2-3 years. Which job would you pick and why?
