did i over do it?

I've been working out with a trainer 3x a week and working out on my own the rest of the days of the week.  The trainer focuses mainly on strength training with some yoga/pilates mixed into it.  Tonight we did our usual 1 hour session and then I decided to go to the gym and work out for another hour with cardo and some more weight lifting.

Now I have a headache, feel light headed and like I'm going to puke.

Is that too much exercise or am I wimp?

Has anyone heard of urticaria, specifically cold urticaria?
Do you have it?

So, some friends and I are traveling from Nebraska to St. Louis, MO this weekend and we need some ideas of what to do!

Does anyone know of any key things we should hit up while we're there? We're specifically looking for good bars, restaurants, but we're up for anything if it's interesting!

dk/dc: What time do you have to be at work generally? Does this time agree with your normal sleep schedule?

I just got a job that starts at 7:30 and it's definitely been interesting getting used to it... I'm such a night owl and it's very difficult to get to sleep at a decent time.

If you saw a random stranger who was pregnant (you knew this for sure- either you overheard her talking about it or is a friend of a friend or whatever) who was smoking or drinking, would you say anything in either scenario?

What if you knew this person, would your answer change?

I rarely bake but I feel like making something tasty today. Below the cut is a list of ingredients that might be helpful, would you guys be able to give me some ideas?

When's the last time you did something and felt cheated or like it was a waste afterward? Do you need validation?

My 7 year old and another girl recently got caught stealing from a kid in her homeschool group. She kept lying about it even after the other girl fessed up. I took away her iPod for a month. She wants it back "just for a few days" because she's super sick with the flu and I said no way. Her dad thinks I'm being mean and I should give it back. He argues that kids will be kids and she didn't steal anything valuable anyway (because she got caught...)  I'm sorry that she's sick but I feel like this lesson is way more important than her feelings right now. Am I being too harsh? Validate me, tqc.

What good things are happening in your life right now, TQC?

Also, pretty soon I'll be embarking on getting my first fairly large, highly visible tattoo piece. I know my dad will have a conniption, because of the size, although he's becoming more and more accepting of tattoos as all his kids continue to get them. Should I warn him beforehand or just show up with it one day? If you were a parent in such a situation, which would be easier for you to handle?

Let's say you had to relocate for a new job. You have two choices. Job A would have you doing more work for less pay than you currently (or last) made...basically enough to live on where you are going to be, but not much left over and definitely a pay drop for you. The location of the job is amazing however...great weather, great sights, delicious food, tons of cool places to visit...think Hawaii, or if you are not into the whole tropical paradise theme, whatever the equivalent would be for you.

Job B would be a significant pay upgrade from what you currently (or last) made - like, up to twice as much pay for the same amount/type of work. Enough to comfortably live on and have plenty left over to save. However, the location would be pretty terrible...like, really bad weather (freezing, humid, whatever would be worse for you) and/or in the middle of nowhere, not much to do, lack of comforts/conveniences that are important to you, possibly a bunch of restrictions on what you can do/wear, perhaps bad air quality/tons of pollution...not all of these necessarily, but a bunch together, basically somewhere you def will not enjoy living at all.

The actually responsibilities of the two jobs are identical, exact same workload. You will be taking new job on for about 2-3 years. Which job would you pick and why?

What is the etiquette in bookstores?
How does it differ from that of libraries?
Edit: How do you feel about people who ignore you? Say they can't see you because they have to do homework or whatever, and then they go out with another friend? Is it entitled/a form of nice guy-ism to feel upset about those things (check out this post for more about atypical nice guy-ism...i didn't write it)? What about wanting an explanation for why someone has cut off contact with you or is upset with you?

I am a first grade teacher and I'd like to make some more money on the side through tutoring. I am stuck, however, on how to 'advertise' myself in a flyer or post on a bulletin board. One of my BAs is in English, so I feel comfortable tutoring up to high school English, for example. On the other hand, I really suck at Math and it would make me nervous to tutor even a 5th grader at Math (I know, I know... I'm a teacher ... but in first grade we only add and subtract up to 20! haha).

Do I just let people call me, and then turn them down if I don't feel comfortable? Is there some way of weeding out certain needs that people have? The tutoring rate is pretty expensive here, and I want to feel like I am helping someone, not being stressed out because I feel uncomfortable with the material.

I hope this makes sense! Have any of you tutored?

What was the last thing that surprised you about your work and/or school environment?
I was removing my jacket in the office this morning and one of my attorneys noticed that I have a tattoo on the back of my neck.  I have been trying to keep it concealed because it's a professional work environment and I wasn't sure if they had any policies about visible tattoos.  Her comment was, "Wow.  You really should show that off!"  I was surprised!

When was the last time someone said you were being too nice?
I have the worst neighbors ever and it has taken me almost a year to get so fucking fed up with them that I am taking official action through our landlord, but people have been telling me that I am WAY too nice and should have called the police a hundred times already.

Do you have any tips for eating healthy with a very busy schedule?
It is so much easier to just grab whatever is closest but I try to make myself something for lunch the night before so that I don't have a reason to run to the nearest cafe or restaurant at lunch.

What do you use for birth control, if you use it? Do you like it?

Have you ever used NuvaRing? What did you think about it? I just started NuvaRing and thus far, I've only ever been on generic forms of the pill.

Manti Te'o

Can someone explain what the heck happened with Manti Te'o? I'm not a football fan, I don't really follow this kind of thing at all, but I saw it on TV at the gym, I just read the article on Deadspin and I'm even more confused now.

Dream interpretation

I had a dream last night was pregnant. The baby daddy was someone I have a confusing relationship with. (good friends, hooked up, came close to having sex but didn't, had a huge fight and now not talking.) He was with me in the dream and acting kind of weird (hesitant to be near me) but by the end of the dream, he was with me and we were...together I guess? He seemed to be into working things out. We had just found out we were having a boy.

What the hell does all this mean?
