I went to see The Expendables 2 yesterday, and kinda fell in love with a piece of jewelry that two of the characters wore. It's a necklace with a sword pendant, and looks like this:

Does anyone know what brand it is and/or where to buy it (preferably somewhere online, I guess, since I live in Sweden)? I'd reeeally like to get one exactly like it! Thanks in advance :)

Do you plan on finding out the sex of the fetus if you get pregnant? Those of you who have kids or are currently pregnant, did you find out the sex?

I need to be up in 6 hours but I'm not even remotely tired right now. Should I try to go to sleep anyway or read a book and hope that will make me tired and not just draw me in?

Do you have any suggestions for funeral songs? Particularly for a younger person (he was 36). I have little to go off of as far as his personal taste.  I know he liked Sublime, Beastie Boys, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and 311.

what things about your job annoy you?

for me, it's the lack of organization and amount of higher ups that have no idea what the frig they're doing. i also work with someone who feels the need to constantly remind everyone that she's a vegetarian and i am THIS close to telling her that nobody gives a fuck. i could go on forever.

Problems.

Do you think more or less of someone who admits to having problems?

Such as, if a girl told you she used to be anorexic or bulimic, does that change your view of her? For better or for worse?

Or if a significant other told you that they take medication for ADD/ADHD, do you think less of them?

If a girl has sex with every attractive guy she comes in contact with, do you label her a whore, who is automatically a bad person?

If someone graduates high school and works a full-time job with no further education, are they a dead-beat?

If a girl dyes her whole hair bright purple, is she looking for attention?

Congratulations, you are cursed.

For the next 365 days, any time you turn on a TV, the same TV show will be playing on every channel. Get a new TV, same thing. Put in a DVD copy of a different show, lol nope. Go to a friend's house, same thing. For a bit of a change, you put in a movie. All your movies are the same for the next year too. Go to a theater, and you'll see the same movie you see at home.

The only good thing is, you get to pick. What TV show and movie are you watching for the next 365 days?

Do you ever get irritated when something you love for personal reasons has been shared with everyone through something more trivial?
Spem in Alium by Thomas Tallis is my favourite piece of music, and it has been ruined by Fifty Shades of Shit. If I ever go on youtube looking for a different recording from the one I usually listen to (I like to compare recordings of music) all the comments are 'omg Christian Grey is so sexy!!' etc. I feel a little immature for getting irritated about this, though.

I am trying to write my cover letter for a job, and it is getting really frustrating. I used be to be an amazing writer in high school (maybe it was all that required reading?), but now, when I try to express a specific idea or feeling, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to phrase it. My mind's just blank. I don't know if my vocabulary has gone down the drain or what, but perusing sample cover letters isn't helping - they're all cookie cutter templates. It's getting to where I just want to throw my laptop across and room and screw applying for jobs.

TQC, has professional job hunting also been as painful for you? How do I fix my writer's block?

What is your opinion on bachelor/bachelorette parties?

How would you feel if your long term SO wanted to go to one that was in Las Vegas for the weekend (say money isn't an issue)?

I'm interested in getting help from a placement agency because I need a better job. However, I don't have any expierence beyond a degree in English Literature and three years customer service and a little management with that.

Is there any point to trying to go to a placement agency? Mostly I am worried I don't have enough of a background so they won't help me.

Have you or do you know anyone who has any experience with placement agencies?

Work assignments

The nature of my job has a lot to do with me being assigned work that I'm not familiar with and working through it. (If it matters I work in an IT department as a configuration analyst, was brought into this job by my awesome boss nearly two years ago without any IT background, and have been assigned progressively me difficult tasks as time has gone on).

Anyway, I was assigned a task today that is making me panic...I just don't see myself being able to do it (don't get me wrong, i really want to) in a timely manner. We're talking a time constraint of about 40 hours which I don't believe is possible for me (for one of my team members who have been doing this for 20+ years it would likely be cake).

How do I express my concern without sounding like I don't want to do this work (I'm more concerned that the length of time this will take me will be of a detriment to overall project progress)? How do I have said conversation with said boss without crying out of frustration? Lastly, how do I get my "I can do anything, let me try!" attitude back that I had when I started this job 2 years ago? I love this environment but my self confidence has been shit lately!

Help!

I JUST GOT OFFERED A NEW JOB!!

I'm going to work tonight at my current crappy (retail) job that has been cutting my hours and causing "drama" with me for months. I was going to give my 2 weeks notice but my dad said I should just stop showing up because they may decide to be a-holes and fire me after giving my notice.

My orientation for new job is next friday, which I will no doubt be scheduled to work at ~the bad job.~ Should I give 2 weeks notice and just call out if they refuse to work with me?

I have to leave for work in an hour. What should I do?? How do I quit my job?? Help me, internet!

If it helps, I've been working at current job for over 2 years and this is my 3rd general manager. She just started in march/april and SHE HATES ME

TQC, will you please tell me:

1. The scariest movie you've ever seen?
2. The most comfortable item of clothing you own?
3. Your favourite board game?
4. Your least favourite smell?
5. The brand and model of your mobile cell phone?
6. Something you're very afraid of?
7. The last kind of takeout you ordered?
8. Whether you can eat food that's touched other food on the plate, because I totally cannot do this, and I want to know how normal I am?

What are some items I should stock up on for school?
I am talking about things that people tend to not think much about, for example tampons and maybe some underwear to keep in the back of my car trunk for just incase.  Or just anything that seems useful for school.

What's the best cat litter?

I usually use Tidy Cat clumping but it doesn't seem to cut it any more.

Why do we invite these animals into our home so they can get hair all over EVERYTHING and shit in a box we need to clean every day? They're cute but NOT WORTH IT.
