The Question Club
I teach swim lessons and one of my kids is around 8 years old with muscular dystrophy. I've done the basic research about his condition, so I know that stretching drills are in his best interest and I don't do any sprint drills. I try to come up with lesson plans that are engaging and won't wear him out too much. I want him to feel as independent as possible (he uses fins to help him move), but he pretty much refuses to tell me if he's tired. |
He likes to swim, and he really likes to do stuff on his own. I feel like I could be doing some more fun activities, but I don't know what types of skills I can safely incorporate. Does anyone know of any adapted drills I can do with him? What types of skills should I be focusing on?
