I am planning on going to the library tomorrow, but that's about it. Should I set my alarm, or should I just wake up whenever I wake up?

What should I get at the library tomorrow? (Specifics, not just "books") Or if you don't want to be specific, what genre should I get?

What are your plans for tomorrow?

If you had to lease a car, with a payment around $200-240 a month, what would you pick?

If you had to finance a car with a budget of $15,000, what would you pick?

I'm totally overwhelmed with choices!

You happen to be near a Tea Party rally, and as you're walking away, you notice that you're about 10 feet from Michelle Bachman. She's surrounded by supporters and sycophants. As you're walking apart yet parallel to them, you notice that she reaches into her purse to get a pen, and out falls a money clip. No one notices. You walk over, and it's probably like $4,000, in hundred dollar bills. No one notices you pick it up. What do you do?

My dog is having some skin problems. I just got a new vet, because my old one wasn't doing anything to help. This new vet charged me $200 for an initial appointment, and then referred me to a dermatology specialist who wants $250-450 for an initial visit. I looked up this place online and they got completely horrible reviews. Besides being way overpriced, tons of people were saying how they didn't even help their pet! I also can't find any other specialists anywhere close. I love my dog, and I spend a ton of money on vet bills and medicine for her, but I can't afford thousands of dollars right this second, and most places do no have payment plans. What in the world do I do?

How do you organise your clothes?
Do you prefer to fold things or hang them up?
What kind of order do you store them (as in, by colour or by garment type etc)?

I'm in the middle of finally organsing my wardrobe and I'm curious what other people do.

Dropped money, part 2

You happen to be at the park. Suddenly, the sound of sirens pierce the silence, and the sound of skreeching tires and a crash. As you watch, a couple of guys with ski masks race out of their crashed car and take off on foot, running through the park. In the hands are bags of money. You immediately hide behind a bush. You see cops get out of their cars as a footrace ensues. As you watch, you see the bankrobbers hobble through some trees, and in the process, you notice that one of their bags opens and dozens of bills land behind them. They keep on going. The cops pursue, not even aware of the fallen bills. They all vanish from view. Upon closer look, it appears to be dozens of bills in large denominations. What do you do?

For those of you who collected the money, it all adds up to about $6,000. Later on, you hear on the news that the bankrobbers were captured. They had robbed the very place you bank at. All the money was recoverd, except $10,000. The police think it was stashed somewhere just outside the bank, as a payment to a second party. Hmm. The police have no idea the money was dropped in the woods. What do you do?

Does anyone else's bf/guy friends just stop texting mid convo without saying bye?
Why do guys do this?! Is it just because they don't like aimless conversation and won't text back unless it's to say something specific?

2. Do you like it? Why or why not?
3. Do you think it was a good purchase (not too expensive, gets used frequently, breads is delish, etc).

Can you wear high heels? (like, do you look good in them?) Can you walk in them?

How long did it take you to figure out how to walk in heels without feeling like you were going to fall over?

(this question motivated by my mother, who told me I look like a lollipop with a head when I wear heels, and by the fact that I'm accident prone and need to learn how to walk in them by halloween)

I haz a paper grocery bag full of tomatoes, another full of turnips and turnip greens, a plastic one full of tomatillos, another plastic one full of assorted peppers (bell and spicy), and another full of green tomatoes.

All are getting older (free from the end of the day at the farmers market). I need to put them up... any idea what I should make? I'm assuming I'll just put up the turnips, but there must be hundreds of recipes to use up peppers tomatoes and tomatillos. Anyone know a good one?

I'm expecting another such bounty of tomatoes and one of apples later this week. Any suggestions for the apples? I will either can or put up in a freezer, so both are an option.

Does anyone in TQC have an unlocked iPhone? If so, holler because I have some questions...

If there's a possibility that I might move to Europe for a few months in the near-ish future but want to keep using my iPhone overseas without horrendous roaming charges, getting an unlocked phone is probably the best option, right?

I called 5 shelter today in the north east pa area about the stray kittens in the condemned/abandoned house across the street and they all said they were over loaded with animals and that the kitties would be euthanized within days of thier arrival :(

Other than googling no kill shelters, what else can I do for them? I don't want them to suffer in any way....

Honestly, I'm thinking about sneaking them into my basement were it's warm and caring for them until I can come up with a better plan. Obv. where the momma could get to them.

BAD MOVE

Car diagnosis?

Needing help figuring out WTF is going on with my car! It's a 1998 Mercury Sable LS with about 180,000 miles on it. It ran fine for the first two years I had it, but now it's being wonky.

About once every week or two, it won't start. I'll turn the key and nothing. Not even a click. If I leave it for a few minutes and try again, it generally starts up fine and runs again with no problem. The first time it happened, it took about a half hour. It's happening again right now and it's been down for about an hour. It happened once while I was driving it. The lights flickered, my interior light faded, and it stopped for a split second, then started again. I had just enough time to pull off the road before it died. It started up again no problem a few minutes later. Every time it happens, my clock and radio stations are all reset and my CD changer starts over at disc 1.

I know exactly jack squat about cars, so I have no idea if this is a battery problem, starter problem, computer thing, or something else. Any ideas?

eBay problems

I recently bought 3 items from one seller on eBay. I did the buy it now thing with the items all within about an hour. But the seller has only combined shipping for 2 of the items. I messaged her and asked her to combine the shipping with the third item and she said "Yes, just purchase more items and I'll combine and reinvoice you." I thought perhaps she didn't understand that I was referring to items that I've already purchased.

So I messaged her and explained I've already purchased all the items I need for now and specifcally said which items I was talking about (including the item numbers) and to please reinvoice me since there's no reason they can't be shipped together. She hasn't responded. I really don't want to wait even longer for the items but I'm not too keen on paying shipping twice when it's incredibly likely she'll just send them together anyway.

What should I do?
Do I just suck it up and pay for shipping twice then leave negative feedback?
Should I message her and threaten negative feedback if she doesn't reinvoice me? I'm worried if I do that, she'll mess me around even more (wait longer to ship my things, or they'll get "lost" in transit etc).
