How's it goin?
I won't be giving them just Cookie Crisp, there will be fresh squash, tomatoes, crackers, and a few other healthier cereals. This is a totally irrational worry right?
Bonus points if it's something you should possibly be ashamed of but aren't.

I do, and when my SO learned this he laughed at me a little bit. I guess I'm looking for validation.
DK/DC/Don't take showers: Wanna brag about something? (I'm kicking butt and taking names on my latest 5K training! Think I'll beat my personal best in September.)
What are your best day-to-day tips and habits to stop spending money frivolously?
I already know my budget and stuff.. but I need help with not buying a $3 latte every day, bringing lunch to work instead of buying it (buying lunch is like $7 a day), etc. I guess my problem is that I don't *Need* to stop these frivolous spending habits because my paycheck covers it all but I want to start saving money more! How do you guys do it?
Also, don't you think that our (USA) culture has largely shifted to almost always eating out rather than almost always making dinner at home/packing lunch for work? Why do you think this is? Do you like it or not like it?
wanna be friends? post your profile here!

What are your favorite Disney/Pixar movies?
I'm about to watch Finding Nemo :) (once I get home with my Steak N' Shake, that is)
About 10 years ago I was in an automobile accident. I rolled my car 4 times and came out with only a seat belt bruise and a torn left ACL. I spent months in physical therapy both before and after surgery. In the meantime, I really learned how to fall and not get hurt.
Just now I absent-mindedly managed to fall off my deck (about 2 feet). I realized I was going down and not to fight it. There I was, laying on the ground and my daughter is asking me if I'm OK. "Yeah, I'm fine. I rolled." You know, that's a nice skill to have.
I did do some research so I do know at least some of what is out there (like Nature Made Sleep and Alteril), but I figure that there must be at least a few people here who have had similar issues and can recommend something from first hand experience. I don't know if this makes a difference to recommendations, but my biggest problem seems to be that I can't shut my brain up long enough to get to sleep. I also have a tendency to wake up every two or three hours (usually it's just for a minute or two).
Is this irrational? I mean, I know it's really none of my business, but it makes the whole neighborhood look kinda tacky, and we're a decently old, nice neighborhood. But would it irritate you too?
I wanted to edit this and point out that this is the type of neighborhood that were I to not mow my lawn for an extended period of time, I'd probably have the cops called on me and I'd receive a citation for it. No kidding.
I want to make him a mocha cake, which has brown icing. Since the icing has coffee and chocolate in it, I don't think I can change its colour.
I want to decorate the cake. Originally I was all 'oo I could have blue icing, and put white clouds on it and draw a plane!' since he loves travel.
But then I realised the icing problem.
So. How should I decorate it? I'm a beginner and I can't do fondant at this point, nor do I know where to buy any to give it a try. (I'm Australian if you know of somewhere).
He loves travel, jazz, sci fi, music, guitars... or I could just decorate it in some sort of awesome way that's not themed.
What should I do? Or should I change the cake flavour?
what are your favorite blogs? do you read any style blogs? i found theglamourai a little while ago and wish i could find more like that. with lots of pretty stuff.

DN/DC When was the last time you got a splinter?
Have you ever lived on the border of a time zone? Was it weird?
Dk/dc: Do you like roadtrips?
I love them! Husband (who is driving) is less enthusiastic about them and it cramps my style.
I had a few, but I preferred normal pencils. I never saw the need for a mechanical one. Kids were always losing lead, getting the lead stuck in the pencil, and having the pencils themselves break on them. I also got sick of tired of being asked for lead, especially since most of the time I used a normal pencil.
I can see why some teachers banned the damn things.
Where do you live? What do you love about it? What do you hate?
What is the worst present someone has ever bought you that wasn't a gag gift?
Unfortunately they are a half size too big. I tried an insert that ran the entire length of the shoe, which made them actually stay on my feet but made my toes feel really cramped and uncomfortable. Is there another way I could make them fit or should I just give up, return them and continue the search for shoes?
For the past two years I've been invited to attend a festival in a small town where some people I know have a grandparent residing. This year I was asked if I knew the date of the festival and acknowledged that I did know the date, and that was the extent of the conversation. Now these people have a tendency of sometimes being direct and other times they're not so direct in what they mean to say and expect you to know what they mean.
I don't really want to ask them this for fear of being ridiculed by them for not knowing what they meant?
Would you consider them asking me if I knew the date of the festival an invite to join them or they're just being weird and don't really want me to go?
Are You Afraid of the Dark?
Cut didn't work. Vids for reference in comments.
Have you ever had a sexual relationship with someone out of the range of legal age?
Trying to word that question without using the "r word"...hope it makes sense.

Does anyone know of any corset makers that make tight-lacing corsets with kind of built-in bras that support rather than squish?
Will you post pretty pictures of corsets?

Wait for my friend to get off work here in about 20min, then we're going two towns over for a drive and for taco bell :)
Do you ever feel like a plastic bag floating in the wind? CAUSE I DON'T.
Also, in what room do you generally use the computer?
Also also, were you the kid/are you the adult who liked/likes shopping for back to school supplies? Do fresh notebooks and brand new pens fill you with the belief you can conquer the world?
There is an apartment complex that mostly caters to students at a local college, but anyone can rent from them. They have nothing but four bedroom apartments at this complex. I would get my own private room and bathroom, fully furnished. It's about three blocks away from where I work. There's indoor parking, all the utilities are included (and no overages), washer and dryer in the apartment, and the rent is so within my budget it's mind boggling.
The thing is, I will have no idea who my roommates are. The apartment complex will place people into the other rooms in my apartment as they apply. Most of them will probably be students. They say I can come into their office to fill out a compatibility form, but it's no guarantee that I'll end up with three other roommates who will get along with me.
What would you do in this situation, TQC? Rent this almost too good to be true room with a pretty significant catch, or find your own place?
