1) Bass or Guitar?
I'm going to try and join or start a band. I only know how to sing and poorly play piano, tenor sax, and the violin. That means I need to learn the bass or guitar.
2) Can girls be rock stars?
I've noticed that most bands with girls in it tend to be one hit wonders or have to be a girl power type of band. I personally don't want to wind up like that and I hate most girl power music.
3) What type of music is most prevalent in your area?
The "scene" in Dallas is very much hardcore, screamcore, and metal from what I have seen.
4) Do you hate cover bands?
5) Do you think learning covers is a good way to start a band?
6) Are you looking to start a band or need a singer?
Ha ha, very long shot but I might as well try.

a) Why do people not believe me?
b) Do YOU think it's weird?
I just got curious when, way back in the past, I made my current IM name.
Thank you. :)
1). I need help, and I don't know where I would go to find out this kind of thing. Is there somewhere I can go to find out information about the previous owners of the house I currently reside in? Like, for example, did anybody in the previous owner's family die IN THE HOUSE while they were living in this very house? The details of their deaths, etc. That kind of thing.
2). Is there a way to permanently rotate Quicktime movies? I have several horizontally-aligned video clips that were meant to be vertically-aligned. It's really annoying having to tilt my head to one side to view my video clips. =(
3). Where was the last place you went on vacation, and for how long? Are there any upcoming trips for you? If so, where and for how long?
4). What's the most memorable trip(s) you took? What made it so memorable?
What sort of at-home exercises can I do to flatten my tummy, get stronger and firmer arms and legs, and get my heart rate going (meaning, I'm not looking for just stretches)? I know basics like crunches and pushups, but if you have other ideas, feel free to tell me how to do them or point me to other resources, and give me ideas on how often to do them.
2. for those of you that do work out, what sort of exercises do you do, and how often do you work out?
I've had mine for five years and no matter how many times I air it out or beat the crap out of it, it stays flat and lumpy and I miss a mattress. :(
Photobucket deleted my picture because of their TOS.
Do you think these are ghosts? Do you think that the red around him is his aura? Sounds silly but I've seen stranger... :)

1)Being in a relationship with someone that you care about a lot but they dont have a ton of money to be spending on going out (thank you private universities). And to ensure that you dont sit around doing nothing, you pay to go out to dinner or whatever else? Even if the other person feels reluctant to go out because they feel horrible for having you pay for everything
2)being in a relationship with someone who you dont really care about as much, but they pay for everything?
EDIT: I will not be getting a rabbit....I've been thinking and talking to people.. just not a good idea. So a fish it is. Which is fine with me.
anyway,I have this project that I'm doing on Buddhism for my religion class at my school and part of it is that I need to interview followers of Buddhism.
It's not really a real interview or anything..I guess I just need to know a few things..but I'm having a hard time finding people in real life to help me..so I was hoping I might have some luck here.
so if there is anybody here who has even some experience with Buddhism and wouldn't mind answering just a few questions for me..that would be absolutly wonderful. you don't even have to answer them all if you don't want to..whatever works..I would really appreciate it...
1. I guess the main question I really have is what is important to you in Buddhism?
2. What about the practice really appeals to you?
3. How has it impacted your life?
4. How do you, personally, practice Buddhism?
5. What is/are the main thing[s] a person should understand about Buddhism?
[and if you have any interesting stories/facts/things I should be aware of that you'd like to throw in there, feel free..]
also if you could give me a name to refer to you by and how long you have practiced Buddhism..that would be fantastic.
Thanks so much.
Have a wonderful day!
Who would y'all put on to a list like that?
If you are 17 or younger, do you ever sleep with a stuffed animal/toy/etc.?
If you are 18 or older, do you ever sleep with a stuffed animal/toy/etc.?
Maybe you only sleep with a stuffed animal when your SO/kid/whatever is away and you're missing them, but the question is do you ever.
Any additional comments are appreciated, and yes this is because my boyfriend thinks it's silly that I'm 24 and sleep with a stuffed animal sometimes.
What is something relatively easy, but still somewhat fancy that I can cook for my mom? Or, what is another nice surprise I could do for her? Thanks.
What are you having for lunch?
2. Have you ever/are you taking college courses online? How did you like it? Are there any classes you did have to go to the campus for? Did you prefer it to going to traditional classes?
2. When you get a receipt with a "call this number and be entered to win for your opinion" memo on it, do you call it?

Also, what would my icon look like to someone who's colorblind to blue/purple?
I'd prefer if they weren't rap, hip-hop, or any sort of heavy/death metal genre, but the swearing can be subtle, or ridiculous and over-the-top. I'm easy.
(But plus points for less of the fuck/bitch, and more of the bloody/bollocks/crap. I'm having a tough time thinking of songs with 'mild' swear words in them.)
So far, off the top of my head:
Ben Folds // Bitches Ain't Shit (Snoop Dog(?) cover)
Martha Wainwright // Bloody Motherfucking Asshole
Adam Green // What A Waster (Libertines cover)
Cartman // Kyle's Mom's A Bitch
Sarah McLachlan // Building A Mystery
02. I may as well put this in, even though it's been asked many times before - what's your favourite swear word/phrase?
Mine are pretty standard - bloody (hell), bollocks, arse, fuck, twat, wank. But then you can have a lot of fun combining them with suffixes and adjectives!
Random bonus link: It's a little out of place, but it inspired my questions - Channel 4's (UK) Swearing Celebrities advert. (various British/American/Australian tv people - from Scrubs, the OC, The West Wing, Without A Trace, ER, The Osbournes...). It's been around for a couple of years, but it's still funny.
Does anyone hae a site where the students rate the college?
Which movie should I watch tonight?
Yes, these are the only choices, get over it. ;)
We'll probably be drunk and disorderly by the time the game is over, but it'd be good to have some appropriate background noise.
I'll also happily take music suggestions :)
1)What is the one health/beauty product you can not live with out?
2) When you notice a bum on the side of the road with a sign asking for food or a ride or whatever, does it make you wonder where he got the black marker to write the sign?? I can kinda understand being able to find a large piece of poster/cardboard....but where would he get the writing utensil.
things that make you go hmmmmm.
This happened a block and a half from my house a couple days ago. The article says everyone in a four-to-five block radius was evacuated, but I didn't even know it had happened until all was said and done. heh
We watched "Buckaroo Bonzai" last night. Watching John Lithgow go insane in reverse was the funniest thing I've seen in a long time. Pee-your-pants funny.
2) Sports fans:
So say you're watching the game at home on TV. Do you put on your team garb or do you save that for when you go to the games?
3) Food Q's:
So I'm going meat-free for a while, see how this works. I started on Thursday (so it's only been a couple of days) and I must say, I am proud of myself. I passed on two of my favorite dishes and stuck with veggie versions. Now I just need to keep this up during the week. There are a couple nights a week where I have to eat on-the-go (so... drive-thru or deli stuff). Which major fast food joints have good meat-free foods? I think BK still has a veggie burger - is it gross or no?
3b) Why are the cookies I made on Thursday (and left uncovered all weekend, whoops) still soft and yummy? They should be stale by now.
what are the other great famed sports locations?
If you have an iPod Nano, has this happened before to you?
EDIT : I have already tried to "reset" or "reboot" it by holding down the menu and select buttons.
What did you find out today?

2. Does it annoy you for a baby to be crying in the middle of Target? Even is the parents are trying to console and comfort him?
2. Does it make you uncomfortable to see a mom nursing with a blanket covering?
2. Does it make you uncomfortable to see a mom nursing WITHOUT covering?
2. Does it make you uncomfortable to walk into the bathroom when a mom is changing a baby's diaper?
2. My LJ keeps asking me if I want to restore from saved draft, even on entries I already posted. Is it supposed to do that or is LJ still working out the kinks?
2) My friend wants to know "Is hypertext fiction a drag because, so far, no really good writer has done it, or is it a drag just because it's a drag?" If you read hypertext fiction, what do you read & where?
Not asking for help for homework, I need to know for the sake of knowledge and possibly a way to direct a play next year.
I couldn't believe it when I saw that, I used to LOVE that thing when I was little but haven't seen it since and can't remember what it was called.
Thanks for any clues!
Sometimes my dog will walk around my room whining, then sit directly in front of my gecko's tank and make whimpery noises, sniffs, and other whiny vocalizations. It sounds like she wants to look in the tank, but there's nothing to see most of the time (gecko's in his cave).
Can dogs get jealous of reptiles? o_0
My only other theory is that she smells a mouse in the wall, and thinks it's in the tank. But that's less likely, since she centers her gaze on the tank itself, even standing on her hind legs to look at it.
I've googled it and nothing has given me a good enough answer.
I don't understand how to iron. When I try to iron, it takes me like half an hour to do just one pair of pants and if they are khakis, they still look wrinkled. Plus, I keep accidentally ironing more wrinkles into them and having to iron them out.
How do you put pants on the board? Does it take you a long time to fold them so there's no creases on either side? It takes me over five minutes it seems. How are you supposed to fold them to iron the legs and then the top? I googled it and got these articles that I didn't understand. I need pictures or diagrams. It just wasn't clear.
Especially how do you iron the crotch area of pants? There's so much extra fabric there and theres no way to put it on the board without ironing a crease into the back part of the pants.
I keep ironing the front part of pants, turning them over, ironing OUT the creases and then turning it over and Ironing out the creases again. And when I iron a crease down the front of my pants, it looks uneven.
And how come the wrinkles never completely come out of khakis?
How do you iron button down shirts? Are you supposed to keep it buttoned and iron the collar folded over?
Why does it take me soooooo long to iron stuff? How long does it take you to iron one pair of pants? How can I do this more efficiently?
Also, how do you fold pants on hangers so that they keep their crease? When i try to do it, they don't stay that way or they don't fold on the crease.
Do you iron all your clothes at once after they come out of the dryer or do you iron it the day you're going to wear it? Is there a way you're supposed to do it? If I do it all at once, will it not look as good a week later?
Mine is from December...More specifically, Christmas of 1986. I was 16 months old at that time. My memories from that time are a little vague...I just remember being at my grandparents' house, my older cousins were there, and a lot of my relatives were wearing pastel-colored outfits (the "in" thing at that time in the mid-1980s). I also remember the dollhouse my grandpa gave to my sister that Christmas -- it was GIGANTIC! (he built that dollhouse for my sis -- it was at least 2 1/2 to 3 feet tall.)
I can remember 1987 onwards pretty vividly, too...I just lucked out in that department, I guess. XD
"Big balls of ice sometimes fall from the sky without any real explanation."
It also doesn't have it when I go to the Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel.
Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance.
(I'd even accept similar names, like Carmenita...)
2. What are some moments that make you so incredibly thankful to be alive?
For me it's the simple things, like walking down the street and finding a dandelion that had blossomed.
