Yeah, um, anybody who could help me out, I would very much appreciate it. I'm looking for an icon I saw a while ago, just because I wanted to show it to a friend ... it's a picture of Cookie Monster and the caption says, "Shut the fuck up!" or something along those lines. Does anybody here have it, or know the person who does? Obviously, if anybody uses it (which probably won't be all too likely), they'll credit. But I just wanted to show it to a friend for a laugh.

Again, any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Really in a hurry...

What do you suggest using to light a grill when I'm out of ignition fluid?

Plus all the shops are closed and I can't afford to buy anything anyway, not until I have my book.

Something I can find at home then.

Edit:
All solved. Got the huge stick of wood I needed to burn thinner (at 2am) done. Wasn't a grill used for cooking food anyway ;)

Diabetes? [Nov. 26th, 2005|05:15 am]

[zeroenthusiasm]
Can anyone gimme any quick diagnoses?

I piss probably fifteen to twenty-five times a day, not much time in between. Thing is, I don't get a lot of fluids; mostly a bottle of Gatorade here or there. I know this is a sign of diabetes, but then again, I'm a hypochondriac.

And what if I get really poor blood circulation in my legs. Like, they give out easily and fall asleep in positions that body parts wouldn't regularly fall asleep in. Again, another sign of diabetes.

Help?

Cats and Dogs... [Nov. 26th, 2005|01:02 pm]
The Question Club

thequestionclub

[she_went_away]
Hello.
I'm moving in about three weeks, it's a four hundred mile drive from point A to point B. It would be easy, but I have to move my cat and dog. The dog has always been easy to just put in the car and drive, my fiance takes care of him in the backseat. The cat, however, hates going in the car. She's only been in the car four times, when she came home with us, when she was fixed (there and back) and when we moved to the house we are in now. The cat and the dog, Freya and Eeyore respectively, don't always agree with each other, but they can tolerate each other for about a minute. This is all leading up to two questions... What should I do with the two critters in the car and how should I let them explore their new house? For the cat, I was thinking of drugging the cat up, putting her in her crate with a towel that had my scent and keeping her in the front seat with me.
I will be grateful for anyone with advice.

On black Friday, I stood bright eyed and bushy tailed at circuit city and now I have a brand new beautiful laptop.

With my desktop computer, I never used any form of virus protection and occasionally scanned with ad-aware. Then again, it's had its share of kinks and I've done my share of reformatting.

I'm pretty good with not downloading too many things and keeping my computer clean, although I do download music off people who upload onto yousendit, megaupload, filefactory, etc, on LJ mp3 sharing communities.

What virus protection programs do you recommend, if at all?

Why is the urge to straighten? [Nov. 26th, 2005|01:31 pm]
The Question Club

thequestionclub

[andhowever]
[music |The Magnetic Fields, 'Sweet Lovin' Man']

Today I was at a local mall and there was this kiosk there that was selling ceramic hair straighteners. I have curly hair. It doesn't always look great, but today it's looking pretty okay. (reference: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v466/zanycharm/me/me016.jpg ). This salesman would not leave me alone - he practically attacked me with the hair straightener.
Is that really weird or am I overreacting? 'Hey, what nice curly hair! Let's squish it between two steaming hot ceramic plates!' I understand that he was just trying to sell his product, but this is not the first time something like this has happened. People always pressure me to straighten my hair, to let them straighten my hair, etc. Do you do that? If you have curly hair, does this happen to you? I'm just trying to understand, here.
Also:
If you've seen Walk the Line, how long did it take you notice that Joaquin Phoenix was wearing color contacts? I noticed pretty soon, but only because I love brown eyes and I noticed that he was looking really good and then the connection was pretty much drawn. But my mom didn't notice until the very last scene, so?

Did you ever notice that the movies The Three Amigos and Galaxy Quest, have the same plot line?

Group of actors are down on their luck.

They discover movies of heroes and go in search of them not realizing it is a movie.
Heroes accept task not realizing it is the real thing.
Climactic moment of truth makes actors decide to become the real heroes.

Can you think of any other movies that are just remakes of the same plot?

Do you like LJ drama? (not the comm/website; actual comment/post bickering) Why or why not? Do you ever start drama? Is it ever on purpose?

I personally think it's hilarious, every time, and I love to read people arguing. It's a rare thing for me to start any, though, so I don't get to indulge in it very often. Which brings me to my next question:

Are there any comms out there devoted to indulging in drama? I used to read brutal_honesty when bored at work just because it amused me so, but it seemed like mods kept drama mostly under control (banning trolls and whatnot). Are there any communities where the whole point is to basically flame and argue?

I want some advice on what I could do to my hair...it's not that I hate it, I'm just bored with it. It's black, shoulder length and has an irritating kink halfway down, so it's neither wavy nor straight. Here's a pic: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v632/joe_cool_lemming/blah.jpg
