Uhm, so yeah does anyone know that hard glue in the lining of bathtubs to keep the water from seeping through the walls and corners?
I forgot the name of's usually white.

Anways yeah how do you remove mold from that?
I've tried AJAX, and foam cleaner, and none of the latter work.

Should I soak in bleach?

What should one do?

I hate, hate, HATE shopping for shoes.

After three years of faithful service, I have officially walked a hole through the bottom of The Grey Clogs That Go With Everything(tm). I thinks its time I retired them. I don't mind paying a lot for a pair of shoes so long as I know that they:

A. Are going to last.
B. Are comfortable.
C. Will match just about everything in my (mostly casual) wardrobe, because to me time spent picking out what shoes I'm going to wear is time wasted.

Absolutely NOT heels, I can't wear men's shoes comfortably, and preferably not tennis or athletic shoes, and if at all possible something that can be worn in all seasons.

So, Any suggestions?

I'm not exactly asking for a specific shoe, but are there any brands should I check out or stay away from? Any styles I should look at? Any other advice to give a girl not well versed in the ways of footwear?

For some reason, in every computer in this lab, when you put the cursor over any word, (esp in LJ) it will show the word in another language (Spanish I believe, I am a French major, so don't know.)

Is there a way to get this in French, or disable it? How could I get it for my computer at home? Anyone?

How do you do your laundry? Do you seperate my darks and lights? Do you have a setting for each specific color?

Me - I just throw everything into one load, throw the cold/cold setting on and let it run. The only time I seperate darks and lights is when I have something new. I only do this because I don't like doing laundry, and when I do it, I always forget that I'm doing it.

How would a couple go about getting married in another country? More specifically, a couple in the United States wanting to have a small ceremony in England.

Did any of you get married in a different country than the one you live in? Where'd you go, and how was it?

Pickles, Tissues, Air Freshener and Product

When having a sandwich, do you:

-want your pickle on the side?
-want your pickle on the plate?
-eat your pickle later on with something else?
-dislike pickles and now feel ill at the mere mention?

Which type(s) of pickle(s) do you prefer?
Ex.: Dill, midgee, garlic spear, hamburger (the round, ridged slices)

Scented or unscented?
Plain or with lotion?

Air Freshener:

Use one in the car?
Use one in the house?

Aerosol spray, pump spray, scented oil or potpourri?

So, I've been offered a sweet-ass bed on Freecycle. Usually with Freecycle and nice 'Thanks!' does the trick, but I don't think it's enough this time.

Any ideas on what I should do to *really* make sure the lady knows how grateful I am? I think a nice card would be good, but I was thinking cookies or something, too... help?

I have a very low sex drive. Chalk it up to stress, bad previous relationships, medication, my fibromyalgia, or whatever, but I haven't felt any real lust since I was about 16. (I'm 19 now.) I've gotten used to it; however, the one thing I can't get used to is the guilt - my boyfriend of two years, you see, has the highest sex drive of anyone I've ever encountered.

We've battled and battled over this and basically worked it out best as we can figure out...but he looks at porn constantly in order to get his fix. I have no problem with the porn (it itself - I know guys do their thing - I used to watch porn back when I was horny...) but I'm extremely, terribly, horribly jealous, and it's killing both my self-esteem and what fragile respect for women I had left.

Itunes Question

Does anyone else have problems with Itunes? I've had an Ipod since May and I love it but I absolutely hate Itunes. I have to reinstall it almost every time I want to update my Ipod. So, I upgraded to the new version a few days ago and it's still doing the same thing. Does anyone know how to fix this or have any advice on the situation? Basically, the program crashes really easily and I have to reinstall it every time I want to use it. Like now. Sigh.

Edit: I should clarify that it's not the actual updating of the Ipod that shuts it down. What happens is I install Itunes, run it once, and then the next time I go to open it it won't open anymore. And the only way I've been able to fix that is by reinstalling it each time I want to use it. And I have a PC, not a Mac.

1. How can you, personally, tell when people are lying to you?
2. How often do you go fishing for comments?
3. Do often find that you fish for comments unconsciously?
4. What's the most rediculous lie someone's ever told you? For me, it would be that the "E" section of my friends phone book was completely ereased on her cell phone.

24 hour fitness

Thanks to some events that have been taking place at my current job I’ve decided to start looking for another job.

Now my question is … does anyone here work at the front desk of a 24 Hour Fitness? If so, will you share how much per hour you make, if your schedule is flexible, and how many hours are you required to work?

Thanks to everyone for answering all my questions!

  4. Mangoes or papayas?
  5. I have friends who cannot plan anything ahead of time.  I'm tired of waiting for them to tell me when THEY are ready & I should drop everything to meet up with them.  How do I break them out of this habit?

Oven cleaning

Does anyone have suggestions for the best way to clean a very dirty oven? Products? Substances? Methods?

I mean, really dirty. I've rented for years and so have seen some scuzzy appliances, but this could win a prize. It's all brown and greasy and thick. I would normally consider getting a new oven, but it's a rented apartment.

Finger Pain

What could be causing the pain in the corner of my thumbnail (where the nail meets the skin on the side; it's the skin that hurts)? I also have it in another of my fingers and I get it every now and then. I soaked my fingers in hydrogen peroxide for a few seconds to see if it would kill any bacteria or anything, but it didn't do anything. I have no idea as to what this pain is being caused by. How do I get rid of it? It's rather annoying.

6 Degrees of LJ separation

I'm sure we have all heard of the game, 6 degrees of separation.

For those of you who haven't. Basically it is a theory that we are all connected to anyone in the world by 6 degrees. Everyone knows someone who knows someone who knows someone... Who knows the person you want to know. So if I wanted to meet my favorite movie star, I probably know someone who knows someone etc, who knows them.

Do you think this is true in LJ? Are we all connected through similar friends?

Am I being unreasonable?

So I'd like some input to see if I'm being completely unreasonable.

I am in a long distance relationship and have been for the past five years. I've recently graduated university and have a new job. I work 1-830pm Mon-Thurs and Sat 9-4. The only time I can see my boyfriend is Saturday night/Sunday. I have to go there because he can't come here for various reasons. This doesn't bother me, in fact I prefer it.

In any case a good friend who works insane hours at Starbucks asked me about doing "something" this weekend. I said I was available all day friday but I didn't know about the rest. She mentioned next weekend and I said I wasn't sure. Keep in mind, something generally means dinner out or something, nothing extravagant that couldn't be done on a different day. I'm also home and off every friday and friday night.

So am I being unreasonable by being unwilling to stay home the one day a week I'm able to see my boyfriend? Should I just tell her that I don't want to or should I make something up to explain why I'm not staying home?

knee disorders and such

Does anybody here have a patella tracking disorder? Particularly patellar femoral(?) malalignment?

Lemme find out if anybody here's got it and then I'll talk about treatment/surgery. I was just diagnosed with it today and they're already saying surgery. I'm so scared.

How many versions of one song (original, remix, cover, acoustic, a capella) do you have on your playlist and what song is it?

I have 3 of "For Once In My Life" by Frank Sinatra, Dionne Farris, and Stevie Wonder, and I have 3 versions of "Both Hands" by Ani Difranco-- album version, live at a show where she explains the song while she's singing, and live at a show with a symphony, and I have "Natural Woman" by Carole King, a punk cover by Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, and an a capella version by the Stanford Fleet Street Singers.

So my computer makes this annoying *BUP* bubble sound whenever a new window pops up. I'm having issues with certain sites' popups, and this noise is aggravating the hell out of me. Any way to disable the *BUP* sound when a new window pops up?!

Thanks so much!
