All day today, my chest has felt somewhat tight. Different from the heaviness I was having earlier in the week (which was determined to be breast-heaviness related). I'm also having a pain in a somewhat hard to describe location - lower than armpit, sort of level with where my boob is on my left side. Not sure if that pain is under or on top of the ribs.
21 year old female, non-smoker, never been a smoker, or spent much time around smokers. Been on BC pills for just over a month, no other medications. I was thinking it might be asthma of some sort, but I'm not sure. I am going to the doctor tomorrow, I'm just kind of scared about going to sleep tonight.
Tomorrow is the last day for one of my coworkers. He has worked here for 17 years, so I would like to buy him something.
He is leaving his purchasing job to work as a salesman for another company, so he will be on the road a lot. About the only thing that has come to mind are traveling coffee mugs.
He has a great sense of humor, so he will be game to pretty much anything. However, I would like to keep it a bit tasteful and in the $20-30 price range. Do any of you have any suggestions as to what I should get him?
I have a final tomorrow that I am going to fail. There is absolutely no chance of me passing the class, even if I were to miraculously ace the final (which I won't). I'm tired and stressed and don't care anymore.
Should I even take the final? Or should I spend the time studying for the finals I have a chance on?
As a school project, we have to create a Power Point presentation on using and downloading images from a digital camera. I want to use images in the presentation (for example, an image of the camera with an arrow pointing to the 'On' button, etc) and I was just about to open up PhotoShop and draw them by hand when I realised the instruction manual has all the diagrams and images I need.
Question: Do I copy the diagrams from the manual (giving proper credit at the end of the presentation, of course) or draw my own digrams which won't be as good, but at least will be my own work?
If you call another person lovable, and then that person says they love you, do you find that unreasonable? What if you just told them that was kind of them to say? Why, if you find them lovable, wouldn't you love them?
My mom put me in charge of dinner tonight. It's just the two of us, and we're in a very touristy area of South Carolina so we've got a zillion options, seriously. If we go out to a restaurant we could eat anything we please. Or I could make dinner. If this is the case, we will need to go grocery shopping, but we needed to go shopping anyway so that isn't a hassle at all.
So. Should we go out? If so, what type of restaurant? (I really don't care, except I don't want seafood). Or should we stay in? If so, what should I prepare?
Let's just say that, right now, I can't find my passport. I moved a month ago, I have a few boxes left to unpack but so far I haven't found it.
What's the minimum ID you need to go to Mexico from Canada? I have a Driver's License, Photo Health Card, SIN, I'll have a birth certificate soon (it took a walk too, but it's easier to replace than a Passport)
Has anyone gone to Mexico without a passport and not had problems? I want to go to October for vacation, but I need to figure this out now :/
You practically have to donate your ARM to get a passport replaced, and if I really can't find it I'll go through the process.
I was sitting on my porch this afternoon when one bumblebee kept on buzzing around, bothering me and my puppy. I know its best to simply leave it alone, but after a few hour of relentless bothering (there were no flowers/sweet smells around) and after whipping out its stinger a few times, I killed it.
Now theres another one coming around, and it's pissed. It came straight towards me with it's stinger ready (I don't blame it)
Sooo what should I do? I'm sure it will be hanging around until I go outside. Should I kill that one too? I just want it to leave me alone, and I feel terrible killing the other one but it was really ready to attack.
(And I'm not wearing perfume or anything, either. Which is why I don't understand why the first one was so aggressive)
So your in the doctor's office and you give a pee sample. Do they automatically test it for drugs, but lets say weed? If they do find out that it's like positive or whatever, can they call police and arrest you? Can any legal ramifications come off from that?
I am currently doing a school assignment-type-thingy, and I need to interview people. It would be cool if anyone that sees this could answer the 7 questions (below).
1. Would classify Saddam Hussein as a strong leader or as a tyrant? Please give 3 reasons. 2. Do you view Adolf Hitler as a strong leader or as a tyrant? Please give 3 reasons. 3. Why do you think that (in most cases) a tyrant is not fully recognised until after they are ousted? Please give 2 reasons. 4. How do you think tyrants become tyrants? 5. Why do you think tyrants come into power? Please give at least 2 reasons. 6. Why do tyrants lose power? Please give 3 reasons. 7. Any general comments you would like to add on the subject of Tyranny?
My son is 3 weeks and 2 days old and is eating like a little pig. He went from eating 3-4 ounces every 3-4 hours. . . to eating 3-4(sometimes more) ounces every 2-3 hours. I feel like my kid is going to balloon up. lol. He isn't getting sick or anything, and I make sure that he is hungry and doesn't just want to suck on his binki or need anything.
We have a doctor's appointment on the 19th, so I'm going to ask her if that is ok, or if we need to do something. My mom said that we may have to put rice cereal into his bottle so he'll fill up and not eat as much. I don't think it's a big deal that he is eating so much because he is a big boy(born 9lbs 10.6oz), but the bottle washing is annoying, so I'm going to invest in the playtex liners.
Did anyone else's baby do this???? How much is/was your baby eating at about 3 1/2 weeks??
Why do people make such a big deal over dying for someone else? I doubt I'd let anyone die if I knew I could take their place. Is it just me?
And is there any rational explanation as to why I seem to swing down into really overly-emotional mood swings every other month or so? It's not really regular, but it happens every so often, and... *shrug*
When someone is pukey (whether from alcohol, food, or flu virus), why do they sweat so much? I had food poisoning the other day, and no fever or high temperature or anything, but when I was emptying my stomach's contents, I was sweating buckets. And then, of course afterwards, I'm trembly.
Also, what causes a person with a fever to have sweats and chills. And what causes them to have crazy dreams or visions (I can't think of the right word.. but seeing things that aren't truly there.)?
I'm turning 18 on Sunday! I want to go clubbing with my friends next Thursday, but I have no ID. I only just realized that you can't just go to the DMV and get one in one day. Is there any way for me to get a proper picture ID by then? And does anyone know how long it would take to get one from the DMV?
Related question: While I'm at the DMV I might as well get my driver's license, which I've procrastinated on for the past two years. What is the process for that? I haven't taken the written test or anything yet.
Do you get paid to donate blood in the area where you live? Here (in Sacramento) I was under the impression it's a completely volunteer thing, but I've read several LJ entries recently about people who got paid to donate blood or plasma.
I'm in a theatre production with some big name but local folks, and this is my first real chance to get into more theatre.
I need to write a bio of no more than 50 words about myself, but the few productions I've done before were with my church, and few people know of them (although the productions were pretty large - casts of 40-60 people, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra playing, etc).
So, what exactly should I include in the bio? I graduated hs but am not attending college, and am just working fulltime at a local museum. If you have any examples (even quirky ones), I'd much appreciate it, as well as any advice.
