"SH3 requires a graphics card with 3D hardware acceleration and at least 32 MB of VRAM on the card, along with 256 MB or more of system RAM. The drivers for your graphics card must support DirectX 8.1b or higher.
SH3 officially supports the following graphics chipsets:
NVIDIA GeForceFX, GeForce4Ti, GeForce3Ti (GeForce MX series not supported.) ATI Radeon 9800, 9700, 9600, 9500, 9200, 9100, 9000, 8500 Matrox Parhelia"
I need it for a PCI slot. My computer doesn't have an AGP. And yes, my computer has DirectX 8.1 and enough memory and RAM.
Where can I find a video card that will work? And hopefully for under $100?
It has to be VRAM. Yes, there's a difference between RAM and VRAM.
I've done the Google and Froogle thing. I can't find anything with VRAM. I just want my game to work.
What is the difference between jam, jelly, and preserves?
Is there a way for a Major League baseball team, the entire team, to start sucking badly enough and consistently enough, or to violate some rule of conduct severely enough to be kicked out of MLB? I know that can happen to individual players, and theoretically to all the players on a team at once, I'm wondering if it can be done to the team itself. IE, the Yankees start to blow it out their ass every game and start losing 50 to 0 almost every game, would there be sanctions against the team for not holding itself up to Major League standards?
Ok for some back-story. I am a supervisor (at my one job) with two guards working for me. One is someone I had never met before the job (C) and the other used to be my brother in law (J) (I asked him to work here as we had to fire someone and needed someone I could trust ASAP).
The two don’t really get along yet they really don't seriously dislike each other either.
Today when I got in I was asked by C to tell J to keep information to himself. You see C is getting a new place and had called a shop about getting a garage door installed. He ended up on voicemail and didn’t leave a message.
A while later we get a call from this shop asking if someone here had called. J told them that it was C and told them his full name.
This really pissed off C. He told me this morning that doing that is a safety hazard and he would never tell anyone our names.
Can anyone see his point or do you think he is wildly over-reacting?
i think it'll be cool when i'm old, because i'll be eccentric, which commands more respect, rather than just a weirdo. i thought for a while i'd become a professor, and everyone knows eccentricity and professor-ness go hand in hand. however, now i think i'm going to go more of the psychologist route, at least for the time being. so here are my questions.
1)do you think psychologist types can be effectively eccentric?
2)what other professions lend themselves to eccentricities?
3)what traits (that youor people you know have) would you categorize as "eccentric"?
also: eccentric is a neat word. it's really fun to say. but i've already typed various forms of it 5 times in this post, so i'll stop for now.
I’m thinking of buying some pictures for Christmas presents and/or upcoming birthdays.
I’m a little short on cash, though, and I notice that even some art prints seem to go for over 100 UK pounds, when I’ve previously bought nice actual paintings for half that price, with frames and all. I also notice that some places talk of “art prints” and “art transfers” separately.
So... what should I know when buying art reproductions? Are there certain places I should look online? Certain keywords to check for that suggest good quality or bad, in the reproduction itself, or the frame, or even the packaging? Anything else?
I may just be completely unobservant, but I don't think I've ever heard a reasoning. It seems, that in every show or cartoon, when a character dies, their soul heads upward toward the sky. Why is Heaven always associated with the sky and clouds? Do you believe in Heaven? If you do, what is your idea of Heaven? Do you believe that it is suited to one's own perspective on happiness or just general happiness among many? Does everyone go to the same Heaven or are we all going to our own?
For a project in my statistics class, we must come up with a topic for a survey/questionnaire for a random selection of students in our school.
Rules: Nothing that would make people feel uncomfortable (sex, drugs, alcohol) Nothing in the wording could be biased ("Do you think John Kerry, who refused to fight for his country blahblahblah, should be elected president?")
I was thinking of asking for people's opinions on universal beauty and then show them pictures and rate them on a scale of 1-10 according to their perspective. I'm not sure if it is biased.
Help me create an interesting and impartial topic, please? I love you all!!
What do you regard as the most beautiful song ever written and why?
For me, it would have to either be "Dante's Prayer" by Loreena McKennitt or "Left Behind" by VNV Nation. "Dante's Prayer" because the music is just gorgeous and the way she sings it is beautiful. Not to mention the choir parts leading in and out of the song add so much poignancy to it. And she can somehow put so much emotion into three little words: "Please remember me...."
"Left Behind" is a wonderful song as well. The music isn't much, but somehow I don't think it's supposed to be. The words are so full of meaning and emotion it's unbelievable. I have a theory that everyone can relate to this song in some way. And not only is it incredibly depressing yet gorgeous in its descriptions, the end offers a little glimmer of hope which just adds to the overall impact.
How can I set the default telnet application in Internet Explorer? Ordinarily it uses the console telnet program, but you can set Hyperterminal as the default. I'd like to set a different program as my default telnet app while clicking on Telnet links in IE. I thought that you could change this in the File Types dialog under URL:Telnet, but that option doesn't seem to appear anywhere in the XP file associations dialog, probably because a file is not actually being associated with a program in this case. Anybody know how to change it to a user-defined app?
Note 1: The telnet app I'd like to use is Tera Term Pro, if that helps. And yes, I've looked for that info on their site.
Note 2: I specifically want to know how to do it for clicking telnet links in Internet Explorer, not Firefox or Opera or Joe's riLly c00l br0wzer.
Thanks in advance.
[Edit: A-HA! I figured out how to get it to work. Never mind about this question folks. Happy trails!]
I was thinking of drawing things for my flatmates Christmas gift – does anyone know of anything that would be good for her, maybe some sort of nice set? My flatmate draws things like this, she used mechanical pencils, pens and rubbers, although I am sure she would not object to more professional equipment.
anyone know where I can find a site that lists or has every Barbie ever made and what years they came out, etc? I'm trying to find a picture or location of this one I had in the early 1990s, but I can't think of the name or "style".
I love reading stories/books that are in letter or journal form, especially one's written by teenagers, and with a "dark" side. I've read: Anne Frank's, "Planet Janet", Zlata's diary (or something), "The perks of being a wallflower" and "Red, white and blue" but can't seem to find anymore. Can anyone suggest me one? Of any genre/age? Please???
